Reviews of Magnolia Pediatrics Group
"First off, the sad part about this review is Magnolia Pediatrics Group doesn’t even deserve one star, they deserve 0. I am a first time momma and I was trying to get my daughter scheduled to start going to their office. They turned her down because she hasn’t had any appointments before she turned two months. They said “we will not take on that responsibility”. I was only told about one appointment after she was born and we went like no problem. They mentioned she didn’t have any shots done, which is a lie, because she got shots at the appointment she went to. I remember because it was more painful to me than it was to my daughter. I don’t see why they just didn’t accommodate with me, since this is my first time in the motherhood. I didn’t even make it into the office and I know they weren’t professional nor the right choice for my daughter. So, in reality they did me a huge solid turning her down, because these reviews are horrific about them."
"I wish I could give this place 0 stars! I cannot even begin to tell you all how happy I am to have gotten by baby girl out of this place and in with a fantastic pediatrician I know will not put my healthy daughter through unnecessary testing! At first we saw Whitney the Nurse Prac. there. She seemed very nice and friendly but if I ever had a question and asked for Whitney to call me, she never would call me back. On a few occasions her assistant would call me but sometimes I just never got a call back, which was very frustrating. Then on another occasion, my daughter was sick and I wanted to take her in so that they could test her for RSV. They said they could not take her in that day and I would have to take her to the ER. The assistant told me that they do not make same day appointments and was very unapologetic and really not sympathetic at all. One another occasions, we went in to see Whitney for a routine appt. when we arrived we were unexpectedly told we were going to see Dr. Patterson. We assumed Whitney was sick or was no longer employed at Magnolia. The scheduler at check out (who was always very friendly) read a message to us that stated "Needs to see Dr. Patterson," with no other explanation and when I asked why, the scheduler looked confused and said, "I'm not really sure. Whitney did not put a reason." Then when we took my daughter in for severe constipation. Dr. Patterson wanted to check her thyroid for some reason, which I politely said we would try the prune juice he suggested at home before we subject her to that. He understood. Then on another occasion he wanted us to have an ultrasound done on her little soft spot on top of her head. The ultrasound tech said everything looked great and she honestly did not know why we were sent there! 2 weeks passed and Dr. Patterson calls me at 6:30pm to tell me that my daughter needs to have an MRI done on her head and said, "her brain is small" and might have issues with verbalizing and moving...I explained my daughter was doing all of those things and was doing everything a healthy baby at 6 months should be doing so that is a surprise to me. He immediately changed his tune and said, "Oh that's great...that's wonderful. Let's just push this back then and see how she does." I knew I had to get my baby out of this place because all they were wanting me to do was break the bank and jump through hoops. My daughter is going on 9 months and she is doing fantastic and is a perfectly healthy happy little girl! WARNING: If you're looking for a good, trustworthy, and dependable pediatrician for your babies, do not take them to this place. This place is an absolute disgrace!"
"The level of inconsistency in this office is heart wrenching. Had an appointment on Monday, and it was reschedule UPON ARRIVAL 20 minutes early due to a power being out. I never received a phone call or any notice that the power was out. I was rescheduled for the next day and arrived no more than 5 minutes late, and there was no one in the waiting area upon arrival. I was turned around and forced to reschedule due to there being “no grace period” despite having “we will do the best we can to see you- but it may be necessary to reschedule your appointment” in the patient contract. I was told that I would not be allowed to reschedule after realizing I would again be 2-5 minutes behind due to unexpected school zone delays and that they would not accept her as a patient. I was told there were other patients in the back waiting to be seen when I arrived a few minutes behind yesterday and I made them aware that it meant I would’ve still been waiting so I wasn’t sure why they wouldn’t accommodate me yesterday. I was held responsible for the office having to reschedule me Monday due to circumstances that were out of either parties control and put in a predicament that could’ve been avoided."
"I really appreciate Magnolia Pediatrics and all that they have done and continue to do for my baby that they’ve seen since the first few days of her life. They listen and truly seem to care about every issue that I bring up as a first time mom. We have had a rough few months since my baby girl has been born, but they have helped tremendously and have been there every step of the way. Whitney is my absolute favorite, she is truly amazing and I am beyond thankful for her along with Dr. Patterson. Wait times are always short and visits are always thorough. Penelope & I truly are grateful to have found this team. 10 out of 10 recommend!"
