"Great school I give it 5 stars my children are excelerating thanks"
"when i attended Jackson Heights it was just built from the ground up and they were trying to make a "good" name for themselves. i was picked on everyday for my skin color. by both teachers and students. and when my mom came into the school and asked to speak to the principal. the principal and the administrators were very rude. and they called me a liar saying that i was just being racist. i was never hit. but only picked on by teachers AND students. i wouldn't recommend any parent sending their child to this school."
"My son attended here for a few weeks. I had previously heard bad things about the school, but I decided to see for myself. My son was and still is 5. I attended orientation and the teachers/leaders spoke major "off the chain" SLANG. I decided to address them regarding the bullet hole on the kindergarten hall exit glass and they stated that it was something else, not a bullet hole. My son tells me everything and has proven himself credible (a daycare director decided to put him to the test once and we watched a webcam video together and everything my son said was true). He told me that his teacher knocks the kids in the head. He told me that his teacher kicked a child and the child fell and hit his head. Everyday there was a child who had been hit in the head. My son appears shy until he gets to know someone. The teacher was angry because he would not participate. She did not contact me before deciding to formally dismiss him from school (by refusing to accept his homework or send new homework home with him), simply because he would not participate. The students in my neighborhood said they saw the teachers pull my son out of the line one day and just begin to laugh at him. This is terrible. Anyways, my son is now home schooled...not to mention the school test scores are terribly low. Someone rescue those children, they're being destroyed!!!"
"Terrible. As a child, I hated this place. Completely ruined what was a good foundation coming from a West Coast school. The teachers actually HIT the students with rulers. I was actually beaten once for not hearing the recess bell (that didn't ring), and then hit again by my homeroom teacher once I was released by the first one. They seemed to delight in hitting the students. Called my father who came and made a complaint, and then was hit by another fat female teacher after he left. Finally, I was bullied here and told a teacher who told me basically to get lost. (use the rear exit to avoid the bully waiting to kill me). This place destroyed my previously healthy self esteem and I will never forget Jackson Heights Elementary."
