"I was referred to this place by CHAO (Children’s hospital of Atlanta). Which i thought would be a good practice based on the level of service i recieved at the children’s hospital. This was suppose to be a follow up appointment, however i was told there were no appointments available within the time-frame suggested by my discharge orders from the hospital. To add insult to injury, I missed an entire day of work just to make an appointment which was canceled 45 minutes prior to my visit. The doctor's office seems to be using a system where NONE of the front desk receptionists know how to use. After waiting for the note to be generated for two days, via the portal, I had to drive 25 miles just to get a note that could've been easily emailed or place in my child's account portal. But again Noone knows how to do so. First impression lasts forever. This place will not receive my business i work too hard to pay my insurance to have a practice that don't care about people's wellbeing . And judging by the recent reviews this practice is lacking where it should be the strongest."
"One star is generous. We moved here from North Carolina and found this place and have been going for several months. The offices are consistently physically dirty. Several times we have called for a prescription refill with no call back and no refill by a physician or Nurse Practitioner. To the point where we have had to make an appointment to be seen just to get the refill because of not getting a call back-not because he needed to be seen before they would refill. Most recently I have had a disastrous experience that has led us to leavings the group altogether. My son has a slight Speach delay noticed by us and his teachers, he is 2.5. He had constant ear infections last summer and ended up getting ear tubes, all in his records, and the doctors there were aware (happened in NC). We had him evaluated by a Speach therapist (paid out of pocket for this) and they agreed he is slightly delayed and recommended Speach therapy. In order to move forward with appointments their office requires a referral so they can bill insurance. Basically a formality. First they kept faxing the referral to their pediatric office from the fax number listed on their website. After not hearing back for over a week I called and inquired. The response was, oh the number on the website is wrong…they all know it’s wrong but no one bothers to update it? Finally I get it sent to the Smyrna office. Bless the lady there because she was the ONLY helpful person I dealt with. She stated because he was last seen at the Stonecrest office with a specific Nurse Practitioner that was who had to sign it. So she sent it to that office. He only went to that office one time for a sick visit ONLY because we couldn’t get in anywhere else. They had the referral for 5 days. We followed up several times asking if it had been signed, and the only response I got was that it was on the NP’s desk waiting to be signed. Finally today I call again. I was told that it would not be signed until January as the NP has been on vacation. First time we are told this after multiple calls there. My response was that was unacceptable and I questioned why a different NP or Doctor could not sign it. She stated because the NP was the last person to see him she had to sign it. I explained that was only a sick visit and we did not even discuss Speach therapy with her. I was then told if I wanted it signed sooner I would have to make an appointment next week and bring him in to be seen. (Yes he is up to date on his well visits). I asked if I would have to pay a co pay for this which I was told yes. At this point I was pretty done with the office lady (stonecrest office) as she was being extremely rude and disrespectful and refused to help me whatsoever. I even asked her if they had his medical records at the office to which she replied, no. I asked again and said you mean to tell me as his doctors office you don’t have his medical records on file? She then placed me on hold came back on the line and said oh yes, we do have those here. Which should be expected because they are his pediatric office. I asked why another doctor could not review his file and sign the referral. At this point she told me I was being rude and she would no longer speak to me. To which I responded that she was being rude and asked to speak to a manager or the NP. She told me I couldn’t speak to either, she could send a message to the NP but couldn’t guarantee a call back. She then stated she would not keep talking to me and I could either take the appointment or not. I said not, and said we would be leaving the practice. I was shortly called back by the lovely office lady in Smyrna. She listened to what happened with my experience with the stone crest office and she was able to speak to her manager and file a complaint on my behalf. She then organized for another NP to review the referral and I finally got it signed. If you go to any office-only go to the Smyrna location. After reading the other reviews it seems like there are a lot of similar issues with this practice though. So I would keep looking."
"Just left our first appointment with our two month old newborn. Doctor Williams was a good and informative doctor, however, everything else we experienced at this location was unprofessional. We came 20 minutes early as requested , and already had medical records transferred to this location. All we needed was my daughter’s second round of vaccines. After coming well prepared and 20 minutes early, we were called to the back where we waited an additional hour before our daughter received her shots.. to make matters worse, right before administering the shot they informed us that they were out of one of the vaccines and that we needed to come up there AGAIN to get it completed. This was very unprofessional and inconsiderate of our time as well as my daughter’s well-being. Why not tell us in advance that the shot wasn’t available so we could have just came another day? Why does it take a hour to administer a shot when you all knew that’s what we were coming for? It seems like you all only checked your inventory when we were called to the back room. Now because of this negligence my daughter has to be stuck twice unnecessarily AND we have to take off work to come back. Lastly… the nurse just jabbed the shot in my daughter like she was an animal and rushed out . We have to get our missing shot done here in the next couple of weeks. After this, I doubt we will be back."
"Came for annual checkup for my son and ADHD meds. Doctor rushed appointment didn't address why there and called on phone way later. No one communicated process and I had to call and show up at office numerous times. They overcharged my insurance for an office visits and made extra unnecessary appointments. Receptionist was super nice but unable to help in all area were they neglected such as processing authorization for test and insurance approvals for insurance. 2 1/2 weeks later my son is still is without much needed insurance prior authorization. The phone never worked so you can never get in touch with staff."
"First and foremost, I DO NOT write bad reviews but this doctors office has definitely brought it out of me!! I have been trying to reach them for the past week to get an appointment for my 3 girls because we have just moved to the state and they are close to my home and their school but I cannot even begin to tell you how many times the call has been disconnected and how long I have had to wait on hold. For someone that is trying to give you business you all sure know how to welcome new patients! Wish I could've given them no stars! This is absurd!"
