Reviews of Fountain Park Academy
"All of my kids have been to this daycare. My baby started at around 1 years old and I’ve had two more children attended after They are absolutely amazing and takes great care of my children. Never had a diaper rash, always stayed informed with what was going on daily and my baby is happy to attend daily Also the pre k program is amazing my child excelled with Ms. Harris and Ms Taylor."
"My 4 yr old son attended pre-k from October 2018-May 2019 at Fountain park academy and it was the worst experience. Coming from a predominately caucasian school I was happy when I found a pre-k with such diversity. My son was never helped or taught anything here. The school was notified he could not drink cows milk and that we would supply his drinks. My family was told he can not receive “ special treatment” and that he would have to drink the filtered tap water. When the owner was notified they agreed to give him what we supplied. Everyday I picked my son up his shoes were untied and I was told he unties them everyday and the teachers would not keep tying them for him. He never ever exhibited this behavior ( constantly untying his shoes) I would be more understanding if this was an older child but we’re talking about 4 year old toddlers. I was advised to buy him strap shoes. My son could have tripped and hit his head or worse. On one occasion I was running late and I picked him up from a different classroom. In this classroom one child was being allowed to throw wooden blocks across the room. I spoke with the young lady watching these kids and she advised the boy to stop. I tied my sons shoes and spoke to the owners mother about the incident, who is often at the front desk. The teachers clearly had their favorites. My son needed his jacket zipped and asked for help and Mrs. Johnson told him “ no, you little sugar honey ice tea”. I always brushed these things off because it’s hard to get a straight story from a 4 year old in regard to who said what and the teachers said the opposite and smiled in my face. Unfortunately we as parents may brush off what our kids tell us but my son still remembers and talks about it to this day. He went to kindergarten and never had any of these issues. When the holidays came around I felt pressured to give something to the teachers for the benefit of my son even though I didn’t have it to give. Four years later and my son still recounts obvious traumatizing events in his early education at Fountain Park Academy. I can not speak on the other teachers but Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Harris did not treat my child as anyone would want their child to be treated. DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE!"
"Fountain Park Academy is by far the best childcare in the area. My husband and I first choose Fountain Park after having our first born. Mildred,Kevin, along with all other staff members including teachers are always professional, friendly, and make me and my family feel as if we are apart of their family. From first time parents to know having three children, I as a mother will always choose Fountain Park Academy.Even when my family and I moved further out we are still dedicated to having our children attend. I trust everyone there and most importantly the kids absolutely LOVE being there!"
"Generational Day care . It started back in 2010 when my niece Tamara started going to this Child care . It was across the street from our home so it seemed convenient . We never had a problem at this facility . Mildred , Kevin and her staff are so awesome . I had a pair of twins in 2010 by 2012 they were also enrolled in this facility graduated from Pre_k . Now they have a little brother who will be attending this same day care . They feed the kids well they have time for the kids and its very clean just imagine having 22 kids in a class and trying to keep it sparkly clean well they manage to do just that. Prices are reasonable and the school curriculum is impressive . Love this school . I will recommend it to any one all our kids will be going to this school ! Quick update 2021 my last born is also going to this school now! Yeah we are basically family now"
"I give it 2 stars because the teachers were fantastic the owners not so much. I enrolled my daughter at 10 weeks old until she was a year and half. She was constantly sick and not just a regular cold, my baby caught pink eye there at just 5 months old, she also got hand foot and mouth disease and none of them ever had an explanation. After turning 1 she was moved to the toddler room and in that room she came home a few times with bite marks and my husband and I notice when we both took her in one day that one of the other kids that was almost 6 months older literally pushed her and shoved her to the ground which got us really angry because my daughter had barely turn one and the teacher informed us there that he had been doing that to her for a while, but everyone failed to tell us and I don't think anyone would have if we had not seen it. I had a conversation with Kevin about the incident and I was told by him that there was nothing they could do about it to which I asked what if he does that while she is in the tile and gets a busted lip or hits her head and he responded by saying that that's how kids behave at around that age and unfortunately kids were always gonna fall and have scrapes and cuts, as a mother you can imagine this made me extremely angry. We encounter other problems shortly after that my daughter came home multiple times with bite marks once again I asked what was been done and the response was once again absurd and that they informed the parents of the child. I honestly left my daughter there for so long because she absolutely adore her teachers and her teachers adored her other than that is an extremely bad management that didn't hesitated to charge you a full week even when your child is sick because of them."
