Reviews of AAIMS Montessori School
"My daughter has been a student at A.A.I.M.S Montessori School for a few months now. She is enrolled in the Georgia headstart program, which is nice because she gets to learn Montessori style but still reach milestones that the government sets for those her age. Plus, most of the cost is paid for by the government, and our monthly tuition is very reasonable. Overall, my daughter is very happy at this school. I love that the school provides a healthy lunch/snacks throughout the day and has an early-drop-off option (at an additional cost). There is a nice outdoor area for the kids to play, which they thoroughly enjoy. The only downside is that I don’t have much of a relationship/contact with her teacher, which I wish was an option. Your primary contact at the school is with the school's principal, Ms. Nargis, who is always cheerful and happy to take/return the kids. Overall, we are very happy with A.A.I.M.S Montessori School."
"There are no words to describe this school and the owner Nargis. This school had a profound positive impact on my kids and my life. Both my kids went to Aaims and started at this school right before they turned 2 years old. Their curriculum is amazing and what they teach the kids is absolutely astonishing. I love how the kids learn how to garden and picking vegetables in their garden and bringing them home. The school is very clean and my kids benefitted. The meals they offer are healthy for the kids. I know both my kids became better eaters after attending aaims. Nargis is amazing with kids. Her patience, hard work, and sense of caring with the kids is so nice to see. I always felt Aaims was a second home for my kids. I love how the school is very organized and structured. I know this has instilled good qualities in my kids to succeed. I will always have a special place in my heart for this school and Nargis."
"When we first visited the school, we met a smiling and laughing woman drying off after she had gotten sprayed while washing freshly picked fruit with the students. This kind and playful staff member turned out to be the Director of the school! What a refreshing first impression! I am writing this review to share my overwhelming gratitude for everything the owner, administrators, teachers, and other staff are doing for our son, as well as the rest of the children—as well as to highlight the incredible impact this school has made in our lives. While our (3-year-old) son has only been with AAIMS Montessori for a little over one month, I have noticed several significant differences in his demeanor and abilities. Our freshly 3-year-old son comes home each day and sings us multiple songs he learned in school! He tells us about working in his “journal book” and we get to see photos and videos of the activities he participates in! He is more confident in his own abilities and is requesting less assistance with manageable tasks. His creativity has really increased in play and while doing arts and crafts. This past weekend, he got a yoga mat out to represent a jet runway, then rolled it back up and put it away. I honestly don’t think that clean-up or managing his space would have been on his radar before going to this school! He was so proud that he could clean it up himself and is starting to explore more independence. He also loves to go to school every day. Our older child struggled intensely with going to school, even though her time there was only 2.5 hours per day. We expected some resistance to this change, since he has never been in childcare outside of our home and has never been left with people he wasn’t already very familiar with—but he has never showed even a glimpse of difficult feelings during this major transition! Our son has never hesitated or expressed anything but positivity about going to AAIMS Montessori. To me, this is huge. It is a testament to the environment they have created."
"We had a great first schooling experience at AAIMS when we enrolled our daughter in the toddler class at age 2.5 yr. She later moved into primary class and we loved her teachers and assistants in each classroom. They have conferences twice a year, school pictures, and special holiday events including Mother's and Fathers day celebrations. The director has strong priority on child safety which we appreciate. They have a great summer program with fun extracurriculars including book fair, butterfly garden petting zoo and water play as well as on-site field trips from the fire department, etc. The outdoor play area is fantastic and the gardening is so great, making it a unique outdoor environment for a school. We left because we were expecting our second child and needed to be at a school closer to home. Our daughter also expressed an interest in wanting more work time. AAIMS does not have a three hr work cycle like traditional Montessori, but to be fair, most Montessori schools in the area do not have three hr work cycles either. We were very pleased and our daughter enjoyed coming to school here ."
"I am very thankful that both of my kids have gone through the AAIMS Montessori School, where one was in the toddler class and one was in the primary class. I can see the growth and behavior change in my children. The teachers there are on point with the structure set up of their classrooms and the learning levels of the children. My experience with all the teachers, have been a positive one. The director, Nargis is really good with the children of all ages and you can see this with her interaction with them. My son is now in the primary class and loves his teachers and when it is time to go home he gives them all hugs before we leave the building even the director. I wish AAIMS all the best."
