Fairington Elementary School

"My son transfer in 2nd grade doing good and 3rd grade passing all yr making No F's but he was not given the opportunity for help with the testing GA milestone, and progress for his maps testing when most of the time a sub was in the classroom, then his teachers was not really involed calling me at work almost 3xtimes a week because his teacher was not really involed in him Getting educated. I WAS AT THE SCHOOL HOUSE MORE THAN JUST CONFERENCE MEETINGS BUT. But its a bit of embarrassment when he is given work and the teacher just let them do what ever the child wants without changing the child way of thinking. I work with my son but when he dont like this school and the staff it is very challenging for him with them being so unprofessional I assume they want the kids to fail? . when a child has a medical condition It should be different approaches to take for kids. My son has ADHD which he has been hard for him to focus at this school because the teachers has to put effort in to the kids it is not acceptable to not do nothing they are paid to help these kids. Im another unsatisfied parent and I can honestly say they will participate in the gossip on my actions but not want to help the kids learn. If im able to withdraw him from this place it will be a prayer request answered and to add new caring teachers and more concerned parents . We have to complain about it to the Board of Education not to socialize. I would not recommend any one to bring their children to this school."

"The school does the best it can, but when you have nonchalant parents who does not care about the child education or behavior it can be a bit challenging for kids who want to learn, since my child been going off & on for 3years his teachers have been very attentive to his education. Thanks Mr. Moore 2nd grade teacher you are AWESOME,, thanks Mr. Lopez for going above and beyond helping with what you can, Ms. Allen-Vera you will never be forgotten being my son kindergarten teacher,, as we depart our ways from Fairington Elementary,, I thank you all for doing your best. I know it is very challenging dealing with what you have to deal with.. I applaud you'll.. Continue to have a GREAT year,, and again special thanks to Mr. Moore 2nd grade... AWESOME TEACHER"

"I know the school staff does the best that they can and they do a decent job but the school has a poor grade. This was the first time that my child said that he disliked a school. I believe that it has a lot to do with a lack of parent involvement. I've also been told by different people that the teachers are a bit loose in the verbal communication in ways of cursing at children and projecting their own prejudice onto children."

"Do not send your kids to this school. Kids at this school is bad as hell. Teachers do the best that they can. But with all behavioral interruptions make it hard for the them to teach. If you have no choice and have to send your kid here.... stay involved. Make your face be known. It helps out ALOT."

"My three children graduated from Fairington, my oldest being in the last 6 grade there. I loved the school then, I stayed in involved and engaged. Now my oldest grand daughter goes there. She started prek...there and now is on 1 grade. I still love it. Be involved with the school. Its a caring nuturing atmosphere. I mived my son from Bouie to finish at Fairington. All my children are grown now and iften talk about their time at Fairington ir run into people they met there. Kudos to Ms. Wright, Ms. Williams. Ms Goodjoines, Mr and Mrs Brown, Ms Pitts, Ms Little and so many others."
