Reviews
"After intently studying top local independent and public high schools for our son, we are so thankful that our son is attending Paideia. His classes are challenging and have great depth, and the school culture reflects values that are important to our family, including social responsibility, personal, reflective growth and individuality. Trusting our son's high school education to any school has been a "faith walk"; Paideia has exceeded our expectations this first year, and our son continues to be a whole, conscientious, brilliant individual poised to positively impact the world."
"I went to Paideia a decade ago, 9-12 grade. The school is a bit more left leaning than I am, but the are an amazing educational system. The teachers are experienced, and provide the tools needed to succeed. College was easy for me after Paideia."
"Paideia gave my children a well rounded education. They became academically prepared as well as culturally and ethnically aware. This gave them tools needed for life."
"During a tour of the school a Paideia science teacher expressed her disdain for technology saying that it doesn't matter if she understands how tech works, she just uses it. The headmaster's opinions on technology and science also seemed to indicate a world view stuck 20-30 years in the past. The headmaster was also evasive about teacher CE requirements mumbling something about it being their individual responsibility before quickly moving on. I was also embarrassed for the three students chosen to present to prospective families as "peer" representatives. One senior continuously looked at his hands and could only string together sentences composed of indefinite articles and vaguely referenced pronouns. Another senior inserted the word "like" between every second or third word. The third senior, responsible for moving the session along, was repeatedly prompted by the admissions supervisor after indicating that she wasn't certain of the next steps. After four years of education at $20K per year I expect better public speaking skills."
"This school is awesome!!! They respect each student and have lots of diversity. "
