"I had an interview here last year and decided to not pursue working there. The staff yelled at the children to stay in line and used their hands to push them back in line (they were mushing these poor kids heads). As a mother of a 1 year old, I knew my son wouldn’t thrive there. It’s a shame because they offer vegan meals but that’s not worth verbal abuse!"
"My kids have been going to Genesis for several years now. I'm very happy with this daycare. The staff offer a caring and homely approach to looking after my babies. My babies' teachers are enthusiastic, compassionate, creative, and have strong communication skills. I can tell Genesis and the director love kids because she's/they show passion, kindness, and love towards the kids. Also my babies look and act genuinely happy to go to Genesis"
"My evaluation of this daycare center is rooted in the regrettable conduct exhibited by the leadership team and select staff members. My child is no longer enrolled at this institution. It has come to our attention that this daycare facility opts for cost-cutting measures rather than employing educators possessing the crucial Advanced Certified Autism Specialist (ACAS) and Advanced Autism Certificates (AAC) credentials. I strongly advise parents and guardians against enrolling their infants or non-verbal children in this establishment. Read between the lines. On some disheartening occasions, certain staff members have displayed an alarming lack of patience and empathy by raising their voices and in one shocking instance, allegedly purposefully causing harm to a non-verbal child, which we find deeply distressing. Additionally, our observations have revealed incidents of staff members engaging in verbal abuse directed towards their colleagues. Consequently, it is unfortunate that the daycare environment fails to cultivate a positive and nurturing atmosphere due to the passive-aggressive tendencies and toxicity exhibited by the director, assistant director and SOME staff members characterized by their rudeness and verbal aggression. For those contemplating employment within this institution, we must express our reservations, especially if you are in the process of acquiring professional credentials or furthering your education. A segment of the staff harbors feelings of jealousy and bitterness which is diametrically opposed to the ideal environment a conscientious and loving parent or caregiver would desire for their child. Some of the staff possess the crabs in the barrel mentality. Most parents want genuinely happy and compassionate people caring for their children. Lastly, a word of caution regarding the granddaughter working there. Entrusting your child's care to her would be ill-advised. There is a lack of diligence, as she appears disinterested in her responsibilities and is primarily occupied with her cell phone for gossiping rather than earnestly contributing to the well-being of the children under her care. Heed this warning and take it into consideration when making decisions about your child's daycare arrangement. Most human beings want honest, loving and ethical people who don’t put on a façade and maintain a behavioral charade to care for their children."
"Attention Parents and Guardians: Regarding recent incidents at Genesis Daycare involving an employee, GG, and the daycare's director, immediate action is necessary. Around 10 weeks ago, GG was questioned by the police at the nursery raising serious concerns about the chronic known abuse doled out by GG upon the children who are not yet verbal or extremely young from cursing to hitting to taunting a child. The director has admitted to using physical punishment, such as spanking and hitting children on their backs, claiming to have obtained "permission" from various children's parents. These revelations barely scratch the surface of a larger issue. There have been reports of staff members using abusive language. Unfortunately, the Department of Family and Children Services (DFACS) informed us that filing a report based on what others witnessed is not permissible. Therefore, it is crucial for each parent or guardian to have open conversations with their children to ensure their safety and well-being. Don't be complacent, contact DFACS. There needs to be an ongoing and thorough investigation. Not only a one time check. Many of these children cannot speak or express their needs verbally yet. To protect our children and address these unsettling matters, a thorough investigation into the behavior of Genesis Daycare's employees and director is essential. We must advocate for a safe and nurturing environment for all children attending this institution."
"They say it takes a village to raise a child and Genesis has been a huge part of that village for my family! My 4 year old son has been going to Genesis school since he was between 3-6 months old and I never once wanted to take him out; I will commute just to keep him enrolled because they’re doing an awesome job. He’s advanced in his learning ability and I love that they don’t hesitate to challenge, advance, and be thorough with the children. Every other parent I know says that once their children enter Kindergarten, they’re already ahead of the class. I was pleasantly surprised to hear him speaking Hebrew and knowing how to sign letters using ASL! I just had twins and had to put them in daycare at 6 weeks and I felt comfort knowing the care they have given my oldest. My babies come home content. All of the teachers and parents are very pleasant and the children are sweet and intelligent. Don’t hesitate to send your children here!"
