Brumby Elementary School

"I have went to this school for one year i don’t know why but it’s okay I got had a good time I had a small class so it’s good too.but there where things I spotted by me Fire Alarms Don’t Work Good They sometimes Go off for no reason they must have broken the box for it there like a lot of brands of alarms there you see them there different then the other ones you should get them fixed up and the other thing the lights I know yeah why the lights well some of them Are Dead they are very dim some of them have that ring effect the lights are so high up. This is not bad I am just trying to help and thank you"

"My son is exhibiting signs of a learning disability and they aren't acting fast enough. He kicked off his shoes in a tantrum and stated that because his shoes flew off he was dangerous. My son is five years old. They kicked my son out of aftercare program on a Friday leaving me with no options for childcare. My son simply didn't want to vcome in from the playground. I've posted on Facebook about what has happened and I'm not the only one that has had these issues. My son was neglected by his teacher when I sent medication to school and a week later she states she never gave it to him. This school doesn't care."

"My son Chase is in first grade and loves his teacher Ms. Stephanie Jenkins. He's doing extremely well. We moved here back in June from NYC and he doesn't miss his old school at all. He's gained more confidence, he explains himself much better, he's taught me how to play chess, his writing is much neater, and the only kid I know that loves homework lol."

"Worst principle ever. Dr. Richie is the most racist "leader" I have ever met. She has no genuine concern for the children at the school, she is merely there to put on a dog and pony show for others. The few minorities that she does hire, she treats with a complete lack of respect compared to their white counterparts. I feel as though I have stepped back into the 50's when walking these halls. I urge parents to not send their children here. Brumby Elementary is what is wrong with the education system. As a parent of a third grader I am disgusted on the education my child is receiving. My child is in the only class that is not gender segregated and the teacher is as fake as the principle. I have never met anyone that puts on a bigger front than these people. Separating these kids by gender is not helping them, but hurting them. Someone needs to shut this school down or clean house immediately."

"My son goes to Brumby for KG. He has a wonderful teacher in Mrs. Lloyd. She has plenty of patience. I am happy that I chose Brumby for him for this year. The school needs lots of help, such as funds etc, and If all the parents put their act togather and and find decent sponsors, it can be great."
