"This is an AMAZING program!! My children have made really good friends here, learned a ton, spent wonderful time in the outdoors, and have gained so many new skills. Through this program they have been able to attend unique field trips and see/hear from some great presentations that most kids never get the opportunity to experience. This is very much a KIDS hands on program full of experiential learning, adults are not doing the projects for the kids. Full of unique classes, some of which are in high demand. You know you have found a great program when your kids come home excited to share their day and are a little (sometimes a lot) dirty because they got to do what kids do best- have fun."
"Bullying by Staff of Sprouts Program I am writing this review because I believe parents should be made aware of the lack of professionalism and Bullying of the staff at WildWood Academy - Sprouts Program ONLY. *** This review is not about Wildwood Nature Academy in general, but a specific program and specific staff. *** What I really hope is that the CHILDREN OF THE THREE WOMEN INVOLVED NEVER NEVER have to experience the BULLYING that I experienced at the hands of their mothers. Bullying that they deemed appropriate towards a mother and her young child. I hope they are never treated the way they treated me, and don't judge people by the amount of help they give their child or others, their ethnicity, or their background. They should be ASHAMED of how they treated me. That being said, this is my experience with three staff members ( Staff Members C, J and H ) at the Sprouts program. I signed up for the Sprouts 6-week course for my young child. I was told by the director that I could attend with my child and that I might be asked by teachers to help or assist if necessary, or I could offer my help when needed. This program is a full day from 9:30-3:30 on a weekly basis. Mostly the children run around and play on the farm grounds and attend 4 "classes" that go with the theme of the program. My child attended a total of 2 classes (10 hours total), and it seems this was enough time for the staff of "teachers" to judge me and decide that I was assisting my child "too much" and not allowing her to "do things by herself," which led to the Bullying by staff members C, J, and H. It seems that these "professional teachers" decided to take a page out of the movie Mean Girls and confront me as I was leaving on the second day, right in front of my child. I was told by staff member C and J, that it had come to their attention that I was "helping my child too much." When I did not agree, she proceeded to tell me that it had also come to their attention that I had, " Tried to take the play horses away from another teacher ". I was shocked by this accusation since I had just asked the other staff member H, if she needed help holding the horses the kids were going to be using for the activity. When I asked staff member H if she felt I was trying to take the horses from her, staff member H gave staff member C a look that clearly meant why did you say something?" When I asked for further clarification, staff member H just whispered staff member C's name and ..... really ? The only logical explanation was that the statement about the horses was meant to be kept as gossip amongst the staff, yet staff member C and J, decided to confront me about it. Staff member H then proceeded to say she felt uncomfortable and walked away, leaving staff members C and J, to continue their bullying. ****** continued on another review ******"
