"After battling PCOS and heavy, painful periods for years, I began seeing Dr. Keisha Dennard Hall at her Suwanee practice in 2017 after a GYN at another practice suggested that I get an IUD even though I had newly-discovered fibroids: RED FLAG! My 2017-2019 visits to Dr. Hall were pleasant, but I still complained of heavy periods. In 2019, she advised me that my uterine fibroids were so small that I should have no symptoms. In the Spring of 2020, I called Dr. Hall on 1-2 occasions to explain to her that my menstrual periods were getting closer together, and they were becoming increasingly heavier and more painful. Rather than speaking to Dr. Hall, a (white female) nurse called me back and gave me a lame explanation that my symptoms were because I was perimenopausal. I had the same experience when I called Dr. Hall again in 2021. In 2022, I had my annual pap smear and pelvic exam, and I explained to Dr. Hall that my periods were becoming heavier. Her response to me was, "Well, what do you wanna do?" I wasn't given another ultrasound, an MRI, or anything. I didn't know what to do; I was expecting her to tell me what my options were. I continued to grin and bear my pain and discomfort until I could find a new GYN for my annual exam in 2023. Turns out that my symptoms were not because of perimenopause, but that my largest fibroid has tripled in size! The second largest has doubled in size, and I have three additional fibroids since my last ultrasound with Dr. Hall. I have found a fibroid specialist who will treat me very soon, but I will not be seeing Dr. Hall again. I strongly advise that Ob-Gyn of Atlanta stop letting this white female nurse give medical advice to patients, particularly patients of color, because she came across as flippant and curt. Dr. Hall knew how important preserving what little fertility I have left was to me, and she should have done a better job explaining what my options were when I saw her in 2020-2022."
"I have been with this obgyn for over two years. I became pregnant last year and decided to stay with this practice for obstetrics services. Please note before you choose this place for your obstetric care, they do not tell you this until you are well into your pregnancy: -You only get 3 sonograms, you can beg for one and even offer to pay for it and they will not give it to you unless you have an issue with your pregnancy. If you are anxious, and just want to see your baby and make sure he is doing okay, too bad, go somewhere else to get a sonogram. -If you will be on short term disability after your baby is born, they will only recommend you for 6 week. Unless you have a complication such as you almost died giving birth (that’s about it) they will not help you get any more STD. Even though this has NOTHING to do with them and they are not the one paying you, they will not help you get the time you need even though EVERYONE is well aware 6 weeks is not enough time to get back to work after this mayor life event. It’s truly disgusting how much they do not want to help you. I had postpartum depression and severe separation anxiety but because I did not accept medicine and was going to try to deal with it myself, they told my short term disability company I was just tired and did not have someone to watch my baby so that’s why I needed a longer time. Of course I got denied for any additional time. They do not care about women’s mental health in this place and should be ashamed for their lack of help to women who choose to have children. -Front office is a mess and unless their manager is there, good luck getting any questions answered -If you call with questions about a pregnancy symptom or some sort of medical question they will not call you the same day, even though they say they will. At that point just google your symptoms. -I had a doctor tell me I think you should just give your baby a bottle so you don’t have to stress about breastfeeding (if you are a mom to be, trust me, this is enfuriating) and just put him out of your room so you can sleep… my 6 week old baby. This exact opposite of what a pediatrician would tell you to do. So obviously they could care less about it as long as they don’t have to give you more weeks."
"Just had my annual exam yesterday and the experience was stellar. I have been a long-standing patient for 20 years and can honestly say that I have always had a positive experience. This office checks all the boxes - providers with excellent chairside manner, knowledgeable and available to spend quality time with you during your appointment. Office has kept up with the latest technology, office staff is friendly and accommodating, clean environment. This is a group practice with a small private practice feel. I highly recommend this office and this location. ."
"Been going to this practice for over 30 years. They delivered my twins 15 years ago. Dr. Wootten is incredibly passionate and gentle with his clients and especially in stressful situations when you need to have a re- examination. He is forward thinking and proactive in my gynecological healthcare. Dr. Fairbrother and Dr. Basil get shout outs because they are also amazing!! I would not go anywhere else. My scheduled appointments are always right on time. I don’t wait more than 5 minutes. Great staff! Love them!"
