"Whoever manages the Cobb location, you need to keep in mind that people call you guys and they might be minutes away from ending their own life. I called and wanted to know if there were walk ins and I was met with passive aggression and robotic repetition by someone who sounded like they couldn’t care less. If you have no decency, you shouldn’t work as a call representative at a mental health clinic."
"Worst experience of my life. Uncaring, unprofessional and sadistic nurses that make no effort to keep you safe or help you in any way. This place was actually traumatizing. I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. The food was like slop and the doctors/nurses were extremely incompetent. It felt like they want to keep you there as long as possible even when you don’t need to be there. Unsafe and extremely stressful environment - I felt at risk of being assaulted by other patients. I watched a nurse and a patient get into a fist fight. I barely ate for 6 days. I barely slept because there was constant screaming and other patients talking to themselves. One male patient was always walking into the women’s restroom and making inappropriate gestures at the women - the staff did nothing. They told me nothing about my treatment or care and acted intentionally obtuse. Sometimes I would even catch them in a lie. They forgot to have me fill out an important form during intake and then tried to get me to sign it three days later. When I told them I’d only sign it with today’s date, they lied and told me the wrong date to cover up their mistake (knowing I had no way of knowing what day it was). When I later realized this and confronted them about it, they gaslit me and pretended I had signed the form during intake. Nurses frequently lost files, handed out the wrong medication, or went days without checking on a patient. This place should be shut down and the staff should never be allowed to work in healthcare again. They take advantage of the most vulnerable members of society and treat them so poorly. If you love someone, do not send them here."
"after reading all of the reviews i wish we wouldn’t have come here. my father was admitted last night. they called us about 40 minutes later asking for his information, what caused him to be here, and told us they would call us back shortly to let us know where he would be moved to, possible treatment plans, and we would get to talk to him. that never happened. it’s the next day and we’ve called 3 different departments and none of them can locate my father. the lady in the behavioral health department got an attitude and told us we had the wrong place when we literally walked him into the center. when we talked to the normal department they were more helpful, but they hung up on us before we could even get information. -10/10. if i could give it no stars i would."
"They are good low budget way to get mental health help as long as you don’t mind dealing with some rude condescending staff. Especially that red haired lady at the outpatient services desk. I went with my parter who had appointment there a few times and she’s most of the time rude. One time she even acted like my partner was crazy and acted as if they didn’t give shots and that my partner was the one who was lost. My partners doctor literally sent her there and told us we’re to go. The next time we went to the same place when she wasn’t there and it was the right place she was just being rude. To summarize: Skinny older red haired lady at pharmacy is rude and unprofessional and the staff doesn’t coordinate or work together well The good: The lady who loves her black pug in the pharmacy is amazing and so helpful im sorry I don’t know her name her position but please give that women a raise"
"This is a No-go, last resort kind of place. It was incredibly boring. Not the fault of the staff that there is absolutely zero programming or meeting time at all whatsoever during the day, it's the counties fault, but still, for people who need to be mentally stimulated in order to start their recovery journey you won't find it here. Incredibly loud. 2 tvs going full blast until 10pm daily and a dryer running 24/7. Jail vibes. Bad seating. No outside time at all. No medically assisted opioid treatment. Their protocol for this is clonidine only so if you're coming off opiates you better get good and drunk before you check in so you blow on the BAC breathalyzer and they put you on tranxene for alcohol withdrawals. Beds were absolute garbage and the bathroom is shared and disgusting. Didn't shower for the whole 4 days was there, which I hated. My NP was cool though. Angela. She was sweet and got me set up w scripts for when I left. Also want to mention Alan, the security guard was AMAZING. He was so kind to me during intake. He went the extra mile for me for sure and even came in and talked to me for about 15 minutes two times to guide me through the process. It's not all bad here. You just have to be either a veteran to the game or very strong minded to find ways to occupy your time. I have stayed Clean since leaving here, that's thanks to my iop program. But if it ever happens again I won't be revisiting this place."
