"Disappointed as I had hoped to have a better experience, with a smaller clinic vs a big practice. I had a pleasant, informative experience with the PA and ultrasound tech during my consultation for a vein issue. I decided to proceed with treatment and scheduled all treatment appointments at time of visit. First would be about a month or so, but I was prepared to wait. Asked about insurance authorization process at that, as due to my knowledge. I know that can sometimes be needed, is a process, and I did not want to delay my care. Was told they would check into to it, which is understandable and reasonable. Called office about weeks after visit, to see if they had a sooner appointment as my issue had worsened. Was told no sooner, and at that time I asked if insurance auth, was needed or in process as I wanted to be all go, when my appointment came up. Was told they would let me know before appointment. Called office again 3 days before first appointment to ask about insurance auth, and if any additional was needed on my end. Spoke to young lady who said she would check and call me back. Received no call back that day. Called back the next morning when office opened asking same question as I am anxious, and really want to be treated the next day like scheduled. She again told me some would check with the "person who does that and call me back." Called back again since I hadn't heard anything, told again she would let me know. Did not hear back from her until after 3pm, to tell me that I in fact did need an insurance authorization, and they were trying to submit information. She called me back at almost 4 pm to tell me they could not get it approved, and that I would have to wait as they needed to submit more information. My appointment was for the next day. I asked to speak with office manager to address this break down, see if anything could be done, about what would now delay my treatment Was told he was gone, and I asked for a call back the next day. Still to this day I have not received one follow-up, return call as requested, and or courtesy call from this office. I have never written a review before. But felt compelled as I am disheartened, and maybe office process can be addressed. As someone familiar with medical and its insurance process, I did more than should have had to as a patient, to insure that I would be able to get the treatment I need. I am sure this is and will not be everyone's experience, but this was mine."
