"Very disappointed in service! I was told at my appointment all was covered except for $241 which I paid. Now 6 months later I got a bill stating final notice Past Due. I never received a bill or statement previously. When I called I mentioned I was told my eye insurance was good. Eye Med. Now it seems someone made a mistake or did not verify coverage. I owed an additional $280. I paid it! I am not happy with there mistakes! I will not be going back to the Eye Center South in Marianna."

"I went to see Dr. Wahlquist a little over a month ago and it was an awesome experience. The staff was very kind and helpful. It was also the first time I’ve left a physician’s office feeling genuinely listened to. I’ve dealt with dry eyes for years but only ever been recommended eye drops as a solution. However, after voicing my concerns to Dr. Wahlquist he encouraged me to try a new brand of contact lenses, stating that the brand I was using was very outdated (which no other doctor has ever suggested). Not only did the new lenses provide immediate relief - it felt like I didn’t even have anything in my eyes! He is very adept at his profession and truly prioritizes providing exceptional patient care. I HIGHLY recommend this vision center!"

"I give Dr Walqhuist 5 stars very kind man and took time to explain things very well. His staff with him during exam great also. My issue was with dispensing which I give 1 star. I have never had prescription glasses and as the Dr said my eyes are a bit unique (very near in one eye and very far in the other). When I came to pickup glasses the receptionist handed to me and told me I could try them on if I wanted to in the eyeglass sales area. There was the original woman that I had ordered my glasses with and a few other staff discussing what they were bringing for potluck the next day right next to me why I tried my glasses on. She did not offer assistance nor did anyone else. I feel a bit off center when I walk with them on so I go to my car and then come back in and tell the receptionist my issue. She tells me to wear them for a week and come back if not better. Well the only thing I will come back to that office for is an exam. All future purchases will be made a Sam’s Club - my husband gets his there and each time they do a fitting with him to make sure fit and vision is comfortable to him. Same with my mother she goes to Walmart to purchase hers and they do a fitting when she picks them up. At this point I’m not even sure my script is correct and I feel sure the young woman working in the sales area either had no clue how to fit people or just did not care."

Dr. Wahlquist was professional, knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire appointment. He took the time to explain everything to me and answered all of my questions.
