Reviews of MinuteClinic at CVS
"Arrived at the minute clinic at 7:20, not realizing they stop seeing patients around 6:50 (per the provider). I asked if they had any availability before closing. The provider, Dr. Smelt was very rude and informed me they stop seeing patients at 6:50 and I needed to go to the ER if my daughter needed to be seen. I told her I was sorry I did not realize they stopped seeing patients before closing time or I wouldn’t have drove 40 minutes to get there. After I started to walk off she offered to test my daughter for strep. The whole appointment she made rude comments. For example “oh great, you’re a new patient”, “wow looks like you’ve been to the Dr a lot” (talking to my 3 year old, “I have to drive all the way from Tallahassee just to cover this shift today.” She also argued with me over the concentration of the Children’s Tylenol I gave my daughter before heading in to the clinic. The strep test came back negative and she sent us on our way. A few days later I took my daughter to the primary doctor, where she tested positive for strep."
"The NP was extremely rude. Tried to make us wear masks. We told her we already tested him for COVID & she said well others could have it. We got here at 9am & the computer wasn't booted up, we had to go to the pharmacy for them to find her. Then wait for her to boot up the computer. In the hour we were there she saw one person."
"If you don't like your job, find another one. Today I was met by the rudest employee in the drive thru. She was very condescending and seemed to be upset that I would even dare to bother her with my question. There are ways to be polite even if you can't help someone. She was even rude in talking to the head pharmacist about my prescription issue. You could tell she didn't want to put any effort at all into her job. Even having to ask the question of her superior was a burden to her. We didn't catch her name-I wish we had, but she was a very Dolores Umbridge kind of character, except at least Dolores Umbridge could pretend to be polite. Short hair, a bit older, glasses, and short of stature. (Including her appearance in case a manager chooses to speak to her.) Bottom line: If you don't like your job and you can't bother to even put up a facade of politeness, then please do us all a favor and stay home. There are many, many people out there who would be thankful to have your job and desperately need the funds enough to manage to be polite to their customers."
"Why call this place Minute Clinic? Needed to bring my son while on vacation due to a bad case of poison ivy. Signed in and update said we would be seen in 30mins. 1 person being seen ahead of us and we waited for over an hour and a half...minute clinic, what a joke. Probably would have been better off at the ER."
"I first visited this clinic 2/13. I had an infected toe.. I was given a weeks worth of antibiotics, and a topical ointment. It cleared the issue up. Today, I went for a bladder infection. They didn't file my insurance anymore, so I had to pay $80. I was only given 3 days of antibiotics. I've been an RN for 21 years, and anybody knows a bladder infection requires at least a week of antibiotics. So this means I'll have to make another doctor's visit this week. Any other clinic I've ever been to ALWAYS prescribes enough medicine to treat your problem. I'll never use the minute clinic again."
