Reviews of McIntosh Trail Behavioral Health Center
"This place is the worst place in the country. They are only concerned about punishing people, taking away your freedom, making you feel less than human and treating you with no respect. The staff has the worst attitude and lack of professionalism I have every seen. I would rather due 6 months in jail than in this place. If you are a loved one is considering this facility, please DO NOT!. There are plenty of other places to choose from besides this one. You just need to take the time and call around"
"Nurse Tammy is the only good thing about this place. Just as bad as the Thomaston office. They should have more compassionate workers since this is a mental health facility. Do yall really think staff with nasty attitudes is going to help patients?!"
"This behavioral health center is full of the most disrespectful unprofessional people I have ever dealt with. They never called me to tell me they had to cancel my appointment, I walked in dumb founded because one of the doctors had “training”. Okay so don’t schedule someone an appointment and not be able to make it, especially have the call center call me the day before and say “Just letting you know to remind you of your appointment tmrw”. I yelled at them and said I guess you and the call center weren’t on the same terms where you? Absolutely pathetic."
"Walk-In wait time first visit Screening took almost one hour in waiting room to be seen. Opened at 8 AM and seen at 9 AM. Was told that I had to wait 2 1/2 months to be seen by my first appointment with a clinician and even longer than that to see a Doctor. Over three months. I'm out of meds in nine days and need of a new Psychiatrist. Pathways Mental Health is recommended as an alternative in Griffin, GA Spaulding County."
"I wanted to update my review so you can understand where I am coming from. This review is not even for the nurse practitioners and the rest of the nursing staff. Some of them actually care and I like that they meet with you individually to discuss their concerns. Plus on certain days, they will have you do fun activities. However, after 5pm when they leave in their nice cars, the night shift turned into prison. They will steal your clothes and shoes when you are not looking. Which I don't even mind because they probably do this so that the other patients that don't have much have things to wear when they are checked in. It's just the way they go about it is all wrong. So make sure you watch your belongings after they clean rooms and wash clothes. The security guards are abusive and they feel like they can talk and treat you however they want because they group everyone in the mental illness category. Most of them are black and from what I observed, they will only treat the black patients this way. They are a disgrace to black people and I let them know that my very first day dealing with them. Be aware that most people do not check themselves in here. If you are looking for any type of mental help it is ALWAYS safer and smarter to seek a private facility. Side note: The food is actually good so compliments to the chef!"
