Also I find it wonderfully appreciative of very little turnover in regards to employees and staff. "You could die waiting. Numerous calls for appointment regarding my Piedmont (E.R.) referral from 5/12/22... (numerous calls/messages to ATL IG scheduling)... PCP verbal referral 5/15/22... (again left messages)... PCP written fax referral 5/20/22... ATL IG finally returned a call 5/24/22... but by then a specialized lab in another State returned serology results. To be fair, 4 of the 12 were weekend days. Don't bother. they're busy."

"I went there because I had issues with my joints/inflammation and already went to arthritis doctor and that was negative so I went to this spot to hopefully get further guidance on what’s wrong with me. First time I went and the doctor looked as if he had no idea what I was talking about... ran blood work test and told me to see a dermatologist but if I get another boil (got those as well) come back. Fine. A month half I get a boil and go back to see the same doctor and he acts as if he doesn’t remember. (They take notes previous visit) so I did as asked and I was there for 15 mins and told me to go to a dermatologist (again) and gave me antibiotics that had nothing to do with boils. Found out later from another doc. This was the biggest waste of time. The doc I saw seemed he needs to go back to college because he knew and did nothing for me. I got billed over $500 then went up to over $700 because I didn’t pay them earlier. I’ve lost all hope for the medical field because it seems no one wants to help but gouge the heck out of you for sitting in a room for 15 mins then prescribe you a pill and they rely on the blood work for all the answers not their knowledge. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Update: I changed my diet and exercised. Doctors don’t care they just want money."

"Lack oof empathy and professionalism. I got off work early, drove over an hour for an appointment, called to say I would be late due to construction work near the facility, and was told to reschedule once I arrived 13 minutes late. I asked if there were any available slots and was told to return a week later."

"My husband was fine, then he wasn't. He came home from work with a high fever, body shaking chills and drenching sweats. After visits to the PCP and the ER, we were referred to Atlanta ID Group. My husband was on day 9 of absolute misery and we were terrified. I called the Atlanta ID Group and the front desk staff, Lucy and Bridgett, were WONDERFUL. So patient and understanding as to our fears and frustration. Bridget was able to get us an appointment the next day. We arrived with my husband in terrible shape - they allowed him to go to a room to lay down until his appointment. Dr. Hengel was perfect! He listened intently and asked NUMEROUS questions all while typing his 'patient narrative'. For the first time in almost 2 weeks, I felt like we were in the right place and would receive answers. He ordered a TON of blood work but went ahead and prescribed antibiotics for what he suspected was happening. Dr. Hengel called us (!!!) the next day to check on my husband. Seriously! How great is that? Thankfully, my husband has improved DAILY since starting those meds and we are so thankful. We had a follow-up visit today and are feeling very encouraged that we are on the right path to healing. Dr. Hengel is professional, thorough and genuinely concerned. His staff, not only Lucy and Bridget, but the ENTIRE STAFF, showed empathy, concern and care beyond measure. I am so grateful to all of them."
