"I rate them a three only because the doctor herself was a bit on the judgmental side. Being that I came in on a depression and health appointment her response to a mentally ill patient was kind of shocking. Let’s just say if I was suicidal I would have jumped after talking to her. The conversation with her keeps playing in my head. Not only did she not want to talk about my request to get my tubes tide or removed, but she insisted I try other forms (insert metal objects) that I didn’t find likeable but she insisted,what other options do I have besides carrying around guilt?! I made previous mistakes and I’m not perfect, but I guess accepting the fact that you can’t be open to your doctor about certain things because the fear of being judged and not getting the best care is a bit concerning. Don’t get me wrong the experience was great, everyone was extremely welcoming, especially the women who took my vitals. I was excited to see a doctor who looks and sounds like me, but I should have known. Our community (black community) needs to do better when it comes to accepting people for who they are, especially in the profession that’s supposed to help and care for people. She was not comforting at all after she heard my story. I would recommend only if your perfect."
