"Just called to check on when I would be getting my CPAP machine and was told I need a new sleep study. This has been an ongoing process for about a year. The nurses and receptionist at this facility should be ashamed. Every time I’ve called they’ve been nothing but rude. I was once even hung up on. One whole year and I still don’t have my machine. Waste of time to even go do the sleep study. Waste of time to schedule an appointment at this facility. Have been back and forth trying to get the paperwork, notes, or whatever it is that was needed for Aerocare to get my machine. South Atlanta Pulmonary is full of lazy workers. How else is it a year later and I still don’t have a machine. I was also told there was a backup waiting list. Until I called to only realize I had never been added to a list because South Atlanta never sent the correct paperwork. For whatever reason I need this machine it’s your job to make sure Aerocare has the prescription, notes, face notes, and whatever else they needed. This is disturbing. Billing my insurance for nothing obviously."
"I wanted to "review" this business so I could explain somethings about the schedule. There was no way to respond to the reviews individually that I could see, so this was my best option. 1. This physician doesn't charge no show fees. Usually 20 patients make appointments, they are reminded the day before on the number they provided when they made the appointment. Phones disconnected, voicemail, some confirm, some cancel. 2. With 50% of patients as no shows it is impossible to know how many patients will show up, therefor some mornings are very busy 3. Waiting to see the physician is happening because the staff has to get all the information from you before the physician will see you. If you had labs done elsewhere, just checked out of the hospital and you don't bring those results or records, while you're waiting in the exam room or waiting room, the staff is calling your hospitals, labs and other physicians for those results. Maybe they send it in 15 minutes, maybe 1.5 hours, maybe 15 days. This delay is out of our control. Bring your test results with you, that will speed things up. 4. Your first visit will be the longest. Follow ups usually take 5-10 minutes of insurance/billing check in. 10-15min in the exam room with the staff, then same time with the physician. So 45 minutes with 5-15 wait time. There are days where the schedule is an hour behind so instead of 15 minutes wait, its 45 minutes and your 45 minute appointment is now 1.5-2 hours. Advice: when you call to schedule, the staff knows the best days and times to avoid this. They cant guarantee but they can be pretty accurate. 5. Last, this physician is thorough. 30 years of practice in Riverdale, he knows he has to go the extra mile. If he wants you to get bloodwork, CT or something, his staff schedules it for you. My physician just tells me, you need this test, call this place and do it yourself. This physician doesn't do that, and that means extra time, but its your health, so imo, thorough I better."
"Worst office ever. Always have to wait for more than 30 minutes to see doctor or nurse. Appointment given as 11:00 and message from office is 11:30. So we come for time given and just sit and sit. Went to window to ask nurse how much longer till husband was called and she looked shocked that I would have the nerve to ask. Staff not friendly at all."
