Reviews of Emory at Rockbridge - Primary Care & Nephrology
"I don’t know if they just try to jerk around their patients for no reason or what. Tested positive for Covid and called to get an RX for Paxlovid. Was told I would hear back soon. Did not hear back. Called them back to ask again. Was told I would need to go to an urgent care to get evaluation and treatment due to the holidays. Why would I spend over $100 at urgent care when my doctor could easily write a script? I ended up getting Paxlovid through my boyfriends doctor without them even needing to see a positive Covid test. I will be seeking care elsewhere. Hopefully they get their act together some day"
"this is one of the most unprofessional practices I have seen ever. The front office staff is ghetto and rude. When I got assistance from a manager, she is just as bad."
"The front staff and Dr. Baron are great I feel like people in their personal ways write negative reviews. The staff is respectful. I had an issue with MyChart they could not help me and stated they did not know, which is the truth but gave me a number which I had to call twice and the Second Lady fixed it. Besides that no issue no problem no rudeness nothing but good patient care. We as people need to be nice to service people."
"Dr. Benjamin is an amazing doctor however, the office has gone down hill since Emory got involved. What used to be a personable experience has turned into a nightmare. You are not allowed to speak with any of the actual staff but instead having to go through a call center dealing with people who are even after the height of COVID19 still working remotely from other locations. It is very frustrating especially when you build a great relationship with your medical team. It is so disappointing to say the least!"
"I've been going to this office about 22 years. I love Dr. Thompson and Dr. Benjamin. Dr. Thompson has watched my 2 daughters grow up and they trust her and don't want to see anyone else. But after yesterday, the office (not the doctors) deserves a bad review. After seeing the Dr., I was waiting to get a B-12 shot. After 20-30 minutes the medical assistant came and told me they were having trouble with my insurance. So I stepped outside, called my insurance co, and got the appropriate codes from a previous visit when I got a shot with no problem. I then spent the next 1.5 hours trying to get someone to give my information to the appropriate person. Finally after sheer frustration I started crying. Then they decided to give me the shot but the insurance problem had not been resolved because, wait for it, I still had the correct information in my hand. No one would pass it along to the appropriate person. The person handling insurance finally made an appearance and I told her if any of the office staff had shown the least little bit of initiative and given her my information or told her I was trying to get the problem resolved, then the problem would have been resolved. About that time, the Dr. came around the corner and was surprised I was still there. So I asked for a prescription for the shot and I took it to Kroger I was in and out of Kroger in15 minutes. I have some other health issues that are very stressful right now and I didn't need to be in that office almost 4 hours yesterday wasting my time. I don't understand why the medical assistant came to tell me about the insurance problems and not the person who handles the insurance. The office use to be very friendly and run smoothly before Emory bought it."
