"Dr Sudha is a very experienced and caring doctor who puts 'Patient First'. The entire staff and nurse practitioner are very friendly and professional. The facility is beautiful and clean. I will highly recommend them."
"Awful experience...Choose here, because they had the shortest wait time, it became apparent why. Came in to the office and receptionist said my appointment was not on the schedule, I had all the confirmations though. They said they could get me in regardless. I then began the paper work and I asked for a form to submit to my insurance as it's co-pay. They said they have never heard of form (even though every other doctor has given it to us no problem). Front desk said I had to call their billing department for it. I called billing and they would not give me an answer as to why they would not give me form. Billing was extremely rude and said they I would have to find somewhere else to go. I decided I would just self pay, but billing told the front desk to cancel my appointment and all future appointments I tried to make. When I asked the office manager why I was refused help for asking for the form and why billing was determining who was seen, she said “I’m not sure…”. At that point, I went to Wellstar at that point and they immediately got in to see the doctor and provided the forms I needed. In all, I was refused help and any future help because I asked for an insurance form"
"I normally see Dr. Challa at the Old Alabama Rd location but was booked with the Nurse Practitioner—Lydia, for my last visit. I was wary but agreed to see her due to scheduling constraints. I must say my concerns about Lydia were completely unfounded. She is beyond excellent and I love her ‘root cause’ level problem solving approach. She addressed all my concerns and I left feeling thoroughly educated about my health concerns and the corresponding treatment plan!!"
"time and time again i see the same patterns that Dr. Challa repeats since i switched to her practice in January of this year. to start things off, She told me i definitely have haemophilus influenza B from being in close contact with my sister. she was so confident in this diagnosis, that she did not want to do testing to confirm it. She then gives me TAMIFLU (an antiviral medication used for the flu) for what would be a bacterial infection. i go to urgent care that day and i get testing done. turns out the testing was negative for haemophilus, and the doctor there was shocked that she would prescribe tamiflu for haemophilus. another issue with her was that they never called me back for my mono testing that they said would be sent to me. i only found out three weeks after the fact that the mono test came back positive. this was after my partner got infected with it as well, which could very well been avoided had there been better communication. i was having digestive issues soon after and she was so sure that i had food poisoning, instead of doing any stool tests or such to rule things out. this was over the phone as well. all they gave as solution was iv fluids, when i wanted to know what i had in the first place. her bedside manners seem good, although she not so subtly suggests your very real physical health issues are something a psychiatrist would be better equipped to handle. her exams don’t have much attention to detail, and are borderline negligent. i had an in person appointment yesterday at the johns creek location to do bloodwork, and to talk with her about my throbbing ear pain that radiated to my jaw. she didn’t show up so i drove up there exhausted, only to be told to speak to her on the phone. she told me i have an ear infection, and to use a salt gargle rinse for my mouth. mind you she didn’t even look at my ear, did no diagnostic testing to confirm her suspicion, and told me to schedule with my ENT. i noticed that she is quick to send you off to a specialist for things she should be equipped to handle. I have ulcerative colitis, and would like to avoid antibiotics unless confirmed it’ll help my case. she and her staff insist on doing appointments such as telehealth and in person appointments for simple yes or no questions she could answer on the patient portal. Unfortunately though, communication without a guaranteed grab and run through insurance doesn’t seem to be Dr. Challa’s preference. EDIT: after Dr. Challa saw this message, she let me go as a patient. She said she can’t keep up with my medical issues, and did not address any of the valid points i brought up. This is not how a doctor should treat their patients, giving up on them when more investigative work needs to be done, and when there’s a need to repair the patient-doctor relationship. All I am left with now is incorrect and false diagnoses on my medical chart that haven’t been removed, and an increasing distrust in the medical system."
"It would be great if I could give zero stars. They rip you off, even though Dr was nice and friendly. They charged me twice for preventative care which is fully covered by insurance. Once as preventative, which insurance covered, and once as office visit, which did not. How can you do annual checkup w/o visit?! of all these years of doing annual checkup never got a bill even once! but here! I won't get back there. What’s worse? The office called me after I received my blood test results. the lady said If I want to speak to my doctor over the phone, I have to pay a $150 copay. It freaked me out so agreed, and paid over phone. The doctor talked to me for max 2 minutes and it was just iron deficiency. she sent prescription to pharmacy and that was it. Later for the refills I called the office, they said if I want refill I must get another appointment and pay another visit copay, WTH! I said BYE after rejecting. After 7 months, I received another bill for $260, in addition to the $150 I already paid, for my annual checkup! why?? They make things up and add to your summary of visit to rip you off. I wondered why the office was so quiet and shiny. The money they use is yours. Run away from them."
