Reviews of Georgia State University Student Clinic
"Over the past week and a half, I've left two voicemails, and two messages asking nicely for a refill for my prescription. I had been asking in advance before my prescription was expected to run out. It's been 8 days and no one has responded to me, called me, or contacted me in any way to update me on my prescription. Now my medicine has run out and still no one will respond to me. If GSU cared about mental health, they would make it easy for their student patients to get the help they need. Literally four total requests to refill my prescription and nothing happens. I will absolutely never recommend GSU's health clinic to anyone else. Please make it easier to get quicker help with medicine that stabilizes students' mental health. This is unacceptable."
"This is by far one of the most unprofessional departments I have ever encountered. 3 Semesters in a row they have put an immunization hold on my account that magically disappears when I ask about it. They claim I didn't have some of my immunizations updated which is literally a requirement upon entry to the MBA program. What they claimed was outdated was smack dab on the vaccination record I provided. In addition to that, I have called and emailed about 50 times with very minimal replies and little assistance. If your department has the ability to prevent people from finishing registering, then be more diligent about removing the holds you have placed on people's accounts. I for one do not like leaving reviews but definitely felt inclined due to the lack of professionalism I have experienced. As the other reviews have also cited."
"I literally never leave google reviews but i had to because honestly this doesnt make any sense.I understand that the clinic can be attending to other clients but as OTHER REVIEWS have mentioned this place never picks up the phone not even for refills. There use to be a option where you can leave a voicemail so the nurses/doctors could still receive your message and refill your medication and now theres NOT EVEN A VOICEMAIL at the end, just a robot.I seen a review on here that said they called 22 times. Today i have called about a matter of 10.GSU needs to do way better"
"I had a great experience here on a Friday. I was able to call 30 min in advance and schedule an appointment to be seen immediately on the hour of 2pm. Out side of the Commons building, I walked passed the computer lab and came to the last door along the side of the building, and had to swipe my school card for entry. When I walked in, I just had to tell them my name and 5 min later they called me to the back. The staff is very helpful and nice. Dr. Copper was so nice, supportive, and professional. I had a irritating sore throat and she gave me a few tips and tricks to get rid of it quickly. I will be back again!"
"I called to make an appointment midday. Unfortunately, my call was routed to an extension whose mailbox was too full to accept new messages - this is definitely something that should be looked into, and is the only reason I am giving a 4 rather than a 5 star rating. I tried calling a second time and was able to speak with the receptionist and make an appointment. I was taken back quickly and seen by the medical assistant and Dr. Fioranelli. I had a great experience with the doctor. He was caring and took time to explain my condition more thoroughly than other doctors have in the past (bronchitis.) It was definitely a good experience."
