"Update: Dr. Hahn is the best thing that could have happened with my daughter. She is fair and frank and doesn’t beat around the bush. This is exactly what my daughter needed and she is so much more confident in her thoughts and advocates for herself in a healthy way. So far so good. We started about a week ago and my family member is already seeing progress and empowerment. The place is beautiful and the program is all inclusive and really reasonable with insurance. We are very hopeful and excited about this journey."

"One more thing: This has been on my heart to share. While my son was in treatment at Torn, Jarius and I were trying to coordinate a time for a phone call to update on my son's progress. When Jarius did call me, he started right away talking about personal details of the patient he thought was my son...it wasn't. Jarius shared a few personal details about the patient that I knew for certain he didn't know who he was talking to (me) or about (my son vs this other patient). I had to tell HIM of the mistake he was making. OSHA violation.... Do you want your or your loved ones personal details given to a stranger? Take my warning 2nd Update: Dr. Hahn reached out here (see her response below) after my negative review to say we could meet. I responded that I would be interested but never heard back from her. I did get a message from Kate stating we could meet, but to this day I have never met, spoke with, or traded emails with Dr Hahn. Because of this, I do not believe Dr Hahn truly wanted to meet and just put that in her response here to make it look like she was making an effort. No one from Torn, except Kate who is on the administrative side of things, truly cared. My stance has not changed. Torn was a waste of money and time. My son is no further along in his healing than when he started there. UPDATE: Just heard from Jarius. It's our fault the treatment isn't working, not his. PLEASE do not use Torn. They take your money and let it all just ride...no serious help here at all. Do not go here. My 25 yo son is currently finishing a 3 month iop with Torn. My impression so far: Kate is fantastic with administration stuff. The nurse changed his meds and we see some improvement there but only time will tell. Jarius is his counselor and has been less then impressive. Our country's mental health system sucks. I thought by going with Torn my son would actually have a chance to get real help. Nope. The only progress Jarius can site is my son making it to Torn on time. While this is an improvement...he hit a low with his depression over the holidays. I reached out to Jarius in how to best support my son. No answer...still on Jan 5, nothing on how to help. The only answer I got today is "(son's name) is very intelligent, it is his job to update you weekly". If my son could update us weekly, I wouldn't have the questions I do. I do not recommend Torn, at all."

"I found out about Torn immediately after I had an absolutely horrific experience at another IOP center that ended up making things so much worse for me. I was actually writing my suicide letter when David called me because he had heard what happened to me. Never would I think that it would be possible that just one call could change everything for me. Instead of finishing my letter and making the worst decision of my life, I gave Torn just a day to just see if they were the same as the last center. To say that me making that small decision wasLIFE CHANGING would be a huge understatement! I walked through their door, broken in almost every way possible. I not only came for substance abuse, I also had a 30 year long fight with an eating disorder, trauma, ptsd, depression, body dismorphic disorder, and just an overall hate for myself. I was given more support, understanding, compassion, education, insight, and tools to help me find the freedom from the chains that have bound me for over 30 years. Torn, don't just focus on what your main condition. They envelope you in a program that heals the ENTIRE person. They have a on staff Nurse Practitioner, one of the nation's BEST Trauma Therapist, personal therapist, brain mapping, and so much more! Then there is a little ball of joy there named Missy. She does the personal training with all the patients and was also my Eating Disorder Therapist. I can not say enough about what she does and is to the entire program at Torn. I honestly believe that the precious souls that give their all to the patients are absolutely a GODSEND! Everyone from Erica at the front desk, the amazing therapists Cynthia, Vic, Crystal, and Jarius are why I am still here living another day happier and free of the chains and demons that I have always suffered with! But none of those would have even been possible if it wasn't for Dr. Hahn. She saw where other centers were completely dropping the ball, and decided to create her own program thawould not overlook any aspect of the patient. She is like a Momma to everyone who walks through them doors! I entrusted her and her program to help me stay on this side of the ground. But what she and Torn gave me was a reason to want to not only stay alive but to fight with everything I have to be genuinely happy and free! After what had transpired before I came to Torn, I thought that I would never have a moment of peace in my life. But I graduated from Torn with so so so much more than that! They gave me the me I always wanted to be, they gave my Husband a better wife all the way around, but the most important blessing that I received there was a renewed belief in The Good Lord! Cause I believe He took the special time to gather these Godgiven caretakers in one place with one main goal, to save people until they can save themselves! There is no place on earth like Torn, and it is all because of the people who give their heart everyday to every patient to walk the road with them to a whole new life and a whole new being! There is not one person who works there that I would not trust with my life! If you or your loved one needs a family like environment to heal, bloom, and grow, then you CAN NOT DO BETTER THAN TORN!!!! There is NO amount of money that could pay for the life changing treasures that await at Torn for whomever needs them!"
