Reviews of Heal and Hope Counseling Services, LLC
"USE WITH CAUTION! I'd first like to share the positive part of my experience: And that was in Glyndora recognizing in me the symptoms of Autism. 26 years and several diagnosis made, and it was Glyndora who finally pointed things in the right direction. For that, and that alone, I am grateful for Glyndoras involvement in my life. That was in May of 2019 that that diagnosis was suggested by her. My experience with Glyndora occurred in the early summer of 2019. The biggest reason for the gap in time from then until this review, was the lengthy legal battle that she continued to pursue several years after all others involved wished to have the matter dropped. My wife at the time and I and found Glyndora as a solution to fill our need of a marriage counselor. While that was our purpose in working with her, oddly enough, she only allowed us 2 visits before telling us that she would be splitting us up to treat our individual needs. Unfortunately for the two of us, we were naive and did not see this for the Red flag that it was. My sessions with her were always the same, about 10 minutes of me trying to share something, and then 40 minutes of Glyndora telling me why the thing I'm worried about isn't necessary to be worried about. (I've since been diagnosed with CPTSD related to many of the things Glyndora told me were unnecessary to my healing to discuss). Essentially anything from the past I wanted to talk about she told me wasn't important. I became frustrated, and on two separate occasions, told Glyndora I didn't feel she was helping and that I wished to be discharged from her care. She then would proceed to threaten my daughter, telling me about how the horrible things that will happen to her if I stop my sessions. "She'll be an alcoholic at she age 11. By age 14 she'll be sold into sex trafficking and you'll never see her again. Is that what you want to happen Joshua?" She would say to me. Obviously, my daughter's life was of the utmost importance and with that lingering threat I ended up submitting to just asking her what I should do. I had finally had enough. I had been sharing with my mother, and my best friend for the past several days that I didn't feel safe and that I felt as though the marriage counselor was planning to do something to me. I recognized that that level of feeling was unhealthy and that the most rational solution was to firmly tell her I wanted discharged. I went back with Glyndora to her office. I told her that I saw what she had been doing and that it was not okay. I told her I knew she was telling us both conflicting things and manipulating us. I went as far as to tell her that I had began having unhealthy thoughts about her, and that I did not feel we would be able to continue having any matter of a professional relationship. I got up to leave, and she followed me out her doorway. I turned and asked her what she wished for me to do with her husband (the office manager and who I assumed I'd be collecting discharge papers from) to which she began screaming for him to call the police. Glyndora had me arrested, taking charges against me. (These charges were later dropped as there was no evidence and all witnesses had changed their stories) After this arrest she sends me a letter discharging me, telling me it's my fault due to the threat on her life. Glyndora then altered my paperwork adding several very outrageous diagnosis. Ranging from things such as "intermittent explosive disorder" and "reality detachment disorder" neither of which she ever in any way mentioned or suggested to me. Indicating that she altered my medical records after termination, which would be a violation of my privacy rights. Today, I am remarried, have a healthy co-parenting relationship with my first wife, and a phenomenal relationship with my daughter. I also have a healthy relationship with a therapist who has helped me explore the trauma that Mrs Condon discredited (as well as the trauma directly caused by the events I've described). Overall, I'm very happy with where my life is today."
"Thank you so much Glyndora Condon for your delicate kindness in helping and guiding me and my family. You are truly a servant of God, always helping others. If anyone is in search of counseling, this is the place to go."
"Glyndora has helped me get a handle on my anxiety and depression and has taught me many coping techniques. I highly recommend her and her office! The telehealth has made me feel comfortable speaking with her from my home and not having to travel"
"My Girlfriend and I called every psychologist from Knoxville, Chattanooga, to north Georgia. We were in need of some Direction and help out of all the counselors and practices heal and hope counsling were the only practice that offerd to work with us today on such a short notice. The psychologist Glendora helped us two hours after she was supposed to leave and took time out of her day to serve her community. Psychologist are like doctors, doctors fix the problem not refer or say try this and Mrs Glenda showed us in her work today why she is a mental therapist “doctor” If you need was t a councilor that puts her community over her wants I Highly recommend Mrs Glenda and her practice. I want to commmend her and Anything but reconsion will only fall short"
