"My husband got a bill for 85.00 from this group. The bill was due on Oct. 1st. But on Sept 23rd. I got a final notice to pay it or I would be turned over to collection. I had already paid it on the 20th. They were going to go to collection agency 7 days before it was due. What? Who is running this place."
"Their system is messed up. I had an appointment that I was waiting for a month and just a day before it they called me that it was cancelled and I should come the next day early in the morning. I did but then the lady told me that I am not even in their system. After some discussion she checked again and discovered I am already there came before lol but I missed my appointment which they told me it's cancelled. Disappointed is not enough to describe my feelings. This is unprofessional to be honest. Next time I have to record their calls lol."
"Continuously disappointed. My doctor's practice is now part of Chi Memorial and I have not had a single decent interaction or experience since this change. Anytime I call, I am put indefinitely on hold. My appointments have been difficult to schedule, confirm, or reschedule. I provided my medical insurance to the office multiple times, but my bill still reflects "No insurance on file". My medication has been sent incorrectly to my pharmacy every single time. Again, it is near impossible to get anyone on the phone to get it corrected. Unfortunately, none of this is the fault of the doctors or PAs. But, due to the complete incompetence this practice has demonstrated repeatedly, I would not recommend Chi Memorial to any patients."
"After seeing the bad reviews on here, I feel the need to share that my experience here was great with all of the staff. I visited in April, 2019 for my first ever mammogram at 31 to investigate a lump, had a mammagram, ultrasound, that led to an appointment being made same say with Dr. Walker which was great because it's at least an hour drive to chattanooga so this was very convenient. Overall, short wait times, professional courteous staff, they gave us gowns to put on , not those paper towel things which made the experience more favorable. I only mention this because afterwards I went with my mom to an appointment in Nashville for the same thing and she was only given the sheet paper towel drape and she was very uncomfortable. My entire experience was great. I got my results within a couple of days. If I could say anything negative, it would be that I received 2 Bill's that summed up to nearly $2000. My insurance is basically pay out of pocket until deductible is met so was expected but It would be nice if they warned me before procedure. However, they did offer financial assistance for low income households so I did apply for that and I'm waiting to hear back from them."
"I had an office visit with Dr. Walter Rose back in April 2016. I paid the co-pay. The office visit led to an expensive surgery I needed. I paid all the bills as they came and believed everything was good to go. I even called after the final bill to ensure there would be no remaining balance. On the day after Christmas this year (nearly 2 years later) I received a bill for an additional $131 on top of my co-pay because my previous insurance denied the claim. I was not contacted at any point during all this time that there was even an issue. Even in my multiple visits and talks with their billing department, I was never informed anything was wrong. Contacting them is a nightmare. They fail to pick up the phone and just let it keep ringing until it disconnects. After trying multiple times, Theresa finally picked up with no remorse for my situation. When asking to speak to a manager "Cory", she was helpful enough to advise that I contact my current insurance company, but that was the extent of the assistance I would get. I did that immediately following our call. I am writing this review while on hold with my insurance company, as they are now trying to reach CHI Memorial Group to discuss the matter. But, once again, no one is picking up the phone for the agent. Same thing... After multiple attempts, the insurance agent said they finally picked up after 4 tries. After this experience, I'm moving on from everything CHI related. This is highly inappropriate behavior. Both in billing patients 2 years after services are rendered, and for not being willing to talk to said patients over the phone unless they're willing to call multiple times. I'm shocked and appalled and will be contacting all of my affiliated providers with the details on why I'm moving on from all of them."
