Reviews of Piedmont Walton
"So I went in last night for severe abdominal pain. It was around shift change. (Because The nurse on duty definitely wore it on her face and her beside side manner which was very lack there of.)As far as my doctor and the CT scanners they were phenomenal and I give them five star ratings. I would’ve sympathize with the nurse a little bit more, Cause I’m sure it was a long night. but she took a little too much pleasure in ripping the EKG stickers off my chest."
"On November 20th my dad (81 years old) was admitted to Piedmont Walton Hospital for gall bladder issues. I live in North Carolina and didn't know anything about this hospital. The reviews I read were poor, so I was concerned about his well being. I arrived at the hospital on November 21 and was very impressed with his care. Everyone that took care of him was polite and attentive. Even the ladies in the cafeteria were pleasant, which was welcomed, since I spent Thanksgiving Day there. Dr. Jacobs preformed his gall bladder surgery on November 22 and he was able to go home the next day. Dr. Jacob's was very personable and thorough in his explanation of the procedure as well as following up with us the day after. My dad never complained of pain from the surgery which I believe is a testament to Dr. Jacob's competence. I would definitely recommend this hospital and Dr. Jacobs. I hope they can eventually increase their review stars."
"I had a very positive stay at Piedmont Walton 2 weeks ago. The doctors, nurses, staff were very attentive to my needs. I was very thankful i was taken there by ambulance and the ER was crowded but moving. I would stay there anytime if the need arises again. Thank you for your great care!"
"If I could have rated my experience tonight a zero that’s what the rating would be ! I went to the ER in Walton county to be seen about really bad pains in my chest and a forceful cough a migraine body aches and seeing spots like I was about to faint . No one offered me a wheelchair until the X-ray tech came and got me. . Every time I usually have a great experience but tonight I left unsatisfied with my care . I got a X-ray and the tech told me it takes 30 min for the radiologist to read it so she pushed me back to the lobby . Not even 5 minutes later the charge nurse came out and said we are sending you home I don’t see anything in your chest but when the radiologist can take a look at it we will update it on your my chart . What ?!?!? I didn’t know charge nurses are allowed to read my X-rays . I can’t even look at it myself . They gave me cough meds , Codeine , and steroids . And sent me on my way . I felt profiled the second I painfully walked in and I did not feel like I was being cared for with care . They made me feel like an inconvenience and a waste of their time and sent me out the door . Let’s also mention she read out my information and my “results” out loud in the lobby . I feel worse then when I got there . I feel like my hippa rights were violated and the only reason I am mentioning my symptoms here is to help others that might have encountered the same experience !"
"I know everyday is different at a hospital especially the ER has they have so many people coming in and out. From the look of the other reviews people have not had pretty great experiences at Piedmont Walton. I have to say the nurses there were wonderful to me. They were under so much stress as the day I went was one of the really hard days for them as they told me multiple times they were under a lot of stress. That did not stop them from taking wonderful care of me. I have a lot of anxiety when it comes to needles and blood being drawn. The nurse that was putting in my IV understood my fear and did not make me feel embarrassed when I had tears rolling down my face from being so anxious. I continuously apologized for crying and she assured me that I had nothing to apologize for. I did not catch her name but I wish I did because she was awesome. I was only there for heart monitoring and getting some tests done so I did not expect them to check up on me much but when they did pop in I appreciated them explaining that they were stressed out and had a high volume of patients. As a patient waiting for a long time for a nurse or doctor to explain that just simply means a lot rather than them coming into the room with no explanation on why things are taking so long and a lot of times they can be dismissive and it makes you feel like a burden. I truly did not feel like that one time."
