Reviews of Family Medical Center
"UPDATE: Family medical center's billing dept called me so they could get a billing address for my bill. She was super nice, and when I asked her what my bill was, she said "$18" ... I about fell on the floor. Y'all keep your stamp, I'll pay it now. I'd advise anyone reading this to ask this company to bill them, because at the time of services, in my experience, you're overpaying! ---↓↓---↓↓---↓↓---↓↓---↓↓---↓↓--- Been coming here for years. Unfortunately, I think today was my last visit and it's 100% the lady who does billing after you see the doc. I came in a few months ago and received the exact same services as I got today and had a bill for $18. I know this, because I paid it when I got here today. Today, for the exact same services, it was $108. I asked why it was so high this time and it was $18 last time. She advised me that it's a "policy change". I told her they should advise patients of said changes beforehand to prevent future issues. I wasn't mean or rude to her in any way, just trying to help her do her job in the future better. Had my card out, ready to pay and I asked her what policy changed and she said "sir, I'm just trying to do my job"... "Ok, then bill me and we can handle it later when I see it itemized". She replied "payment is due at the time of services rendered" (I'm paraphrasing). For anyone reading this, I think if you have in-network insurance, part of the contract these doctors have with the insurance company allows you (the insured patient) to pay later. Short version: if you change your prices, don't expect the patient or customer to be a psychic and don't get upset when they ask you why it's different. Let's say you go into Walmart for a pair of $18 flip-flops and when you get to the register, they ring up for $108. Do you question it? Or do you just pay it and take your overpriced flip-flops? If the Walmart employee says "it's a policy change" you're going to want to know more, right? Maybe a part of "doing your job" would be to not get mad when someone questions your math? Finally, if you rudely toss me my paperwork, I'm just gonna leave. Have a great day! I wish you all the best."
"Messed up my prescription the first time then forgot to call in the rest of my prescriptions. I have to have these daily to function btw. When I called and asked them to just send over the rest, the lady at the front was extremely rude and dismissive and unhelpful. It has been over 8 hours since I made this request, not to mention they were supposed to have been called in a month ago. Now they’re closed and I’m just plain out of luck. Won’t be going back."
"They were very good to my wife and the young black lady taking vitals even helped her change prescription after they closed , she went in and helped us"
"Never billed my insurance (confirmed by provider) yet repeatedly sent me bills. Have no way to contact office in writing. Very shady business practices. Will never return."
"KHOLI MY HERO!!!! She's the best and really cares!! Thank you so very much. It's so worth seeing the same doctor and getting on their schedule I wish you worked everywhere that I needed to go! Thank you"
