"The physicians are great but the management and most nurses working for them are very poor quality! I strongly suggest that they invest in the retraining of 90% of their staff! This place should definitely consider contacting the “Scheduling Institute” located in Atlanta, Ga.to come in and properly train/retrain most of the current staff! It’s that bad!!!"

"This app doesn't allow ZERO stars. You leave a message and the nurses never call you back. If you have an appointment and need to cancel the appointment you get a lecture then threatened to be kicked out of the clinic permanently. My employment status changed as well as my insurance, I called to let them know and told them I couldn't come to my next appointment. They kicked me out of the clinic. ZERO STARS AND EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL CLINIC."

"A family member has received care here for a workup before her next heart valve procedure (TAVR). Like many health care organizations the Heart Institute struggles to keep their records accurate, prioritize patient needs/preferences, and allow their doctors and other Healthcare team members the time and permission to provide quality care in a manner that makes the patient and family comfortable with why they need the treatment, what the treatment will be, how it will be done, and who will be doing it. They do have some good things going for them despite ongoing struggles with duplicating health history questions by multiple registration staff and forms on the same day. Another struggle is this example of a nurse not taking ownership of patient's needs: RN Kate called prior to surgery and my family member asked for help preparing the surgical team with IV access as she has poor veins and was stuck 8 times before they called the IV team last visit for testing. She was told by Kate that the hospital is totally separate from the Heart I statute and she wouldn't help with this request but the Heart Institute doesn't have an IV team and only the hospital does she she couldn't help. Betsey (advocate at Short Stay Unit), Dr. Wiggins (electrophysiologist), Cheri (RN for hospital IV team), and Jennifer ( RN from the Valve team) were all excellent. Jennifer went above and beyond for managing needs to prepare for testing and procedures and eventual TAVR."
