Reviews of Cow Wow Korean BBQ
"Cowwow Korean BBQ stands out as one of Suwanee's newest additions to the Korean BBQ scene. The moment I entered, the sheer scale of the establishment left me impressed, akin to the experience at Morton's Steakhouse in Houston. The spacious restaurant showcased an array of fresh meats, reminiscent of the presentation at Morton's where raw meats were displayed and presented before cooking. With a group of 15 for a swift lunch, accommodating our needs proved challenging. While they managed overall, the customer service was somewhat passive. We had to request additional sides and the soup that accompanied the Bibimbob (비빔밥). Opting for two different individual lunch meals—KalbiTang (갈비탕) and Beef Tartare Bibimbob (육회비빕밥)—we enjoyed a mix of flavors. The presentation of 갈비탕 was intriguing, featuring a giant Kalbi for added flair. Although unfamiliar with the taste of 갈비탕, it lived up to its reputation. The 육회비빕밥, a personal first, proved delightful. The fresh beef tartare paired well with an abundance of vegetables. We requested extra sesame oil and hot sauce, enhancing the experience. Overall, the food and atmosphere garnered positive reviews from our group. The serving lady exuded positivity and kindness, though the rest of the staff appeared somewhat serious in their roles. In today's restaurant landscape, the success of a business often hinges on the proactive and energetic nature of the waitstaff. Here's hoping for a more vibrant service in the future."
"Very good KBBQ restaurant in the Suwannee area, northeast of Atlanta. We ordered serving for 4 which includes thinly sliced brisket, boneless short rib, fresh short rib, marinated short rib, rib eye, pork neck, and marinated rib finger. Plus, ordered three large bottles of Terra beer and a big bottle of soju. Service includes steamed eggs, cheese corn and refill of the steam eggs. Service was pretty good and the side dishes were quite good including the cabbage kimchi and the bean sprouts. As the servers grilled the meat, he or she would tell us what they were grilling for us. Unfortunately, no kimchi fried rice at the end, but all four of us enjoyed eating here for the first time."
"This recently opened restaurant boasts a modern interior and features a dedicated meat butcher section. They incentivize customers with Korean soju or sodas for five-star reviews. However, our dining experience fell short. The advertised $50-off combo had mixed-tasting meats—chewy brisket, less-than-fresh short rib, and aged medium-well meat. Inconsistencies in cooking led to burnt portions being served, showing unprofessionalism. The only highlight was the salad with yogurt dressing. Overall, our experience results in less likely to go as they have a lot of Korean BBQ restaurants nearby."
"First time trying this place and we got their Cow Wow Combo Serving for 2. Can do without the pork neck & cut down the price. Or replace it with pork belly. The beef were delicious & had beautiful marbling. The brisket was JUICY. The sides were just enough (personally don't like the salad & wish for rice paper). The restaurant wasn't full of smoke. I would go back again."
