"Update: I had an upcoming pelvic ultrasound and I called the day before to make sure I can bring my 2 kids because I have absolutely no one to watch them. I have brought them with me to exams before but something told me to call since I was driving an hour and a half away. I called. The woman who I asked put me on hold. She came back to ask their age. I said 4 and 6 and she put me on hold again and then came back and said “no, I couldn’t bring them.” I asked who she was getting this info from and she said “my higher up” I asked “can I speak to your higher up please?” She said “sure!” She put me on hold for about a min and then hung up on me. I called back and a different woman picked up and I explained to her what had happened and she tried going into my history to see who I was talking too, but of course the woman who hung up on me didn’t put anything in my history, so the current receptionist called and asked the ultrasound room and they said it wasn’t a problem that I can bring them.” Every encounter I have had with this place has been awful! The line says it is recorded, so I’m going to try and get to the bottom of this. This place is awful! I had a renal ultrasound at 10:30 am. They told me to come with a full bladder. When I arrived they checked me in and after a half hour I went up to the desk telling them I could not hold my pee for much longer, so they looked me up on the computer and told me my appointment is at 11 am. I told them that’s not what they told me, they told me 10:30 am. The receptionist told me they tell people that because that’s if you need to fill out paperwork and that time gets you here early for registration. I said “well I didn’t have any paperwork to fill out as I have been here before”. She ignores me and said she would try to call and get me back. She called several times with no answer, she then told me she would keep trying and let me know, well that didn’t happen. I sat there from my seat and watched her do other stuff and I finally went up and asked “did you get a hold of them?” She looked me up and said “you are in the blue and have been flagged, they should be coming to get you soon.” 5 minutes later I was called back. I was almost in tears and so upset because I had to pee sooooooooo bad! They expect people to hold their urine for 40+ minutes for renal ultrasounds- be aware! They need to change these policies and quit lying to patients about appointment time. If they want you there 30 minutes early for paperwork, the least they can do is look up the patient and see if they have paperwork to fill out or not (I had none to fill out) and tell them the correct time to be there. If a patient does have paperwork to fill out they should not tell them to come with a full bladder, they should tell them that they should have a full bladder by the actual appointment time. They need to do better! This is laziness on their part."
"The check-in process is obsolete in 2023, healthcare is paperless and has been for several years now. I had mammogram scheduled upon arrival was asked if I had the orders from the requesting physician. You do not schedule an appointment without the orders although the ordering providers name was on the paperwork. I was asked the last time I had a mammogram, they requested this information from the previous facility and I needed to repeat it again. I’ve be a senior consultant for healthcare industry for 28 years and noticed major hipaa violations at the front desk. It’s not the staff fault its management. The staff is great, but the processes needs improvement. The compliance officer needs to work with management before they get fines. Downstairs shares the same EHR platform yet the information is not shared with upstairs and asking the patient to repeat data they already have in the system is insane. Please convert to electronic format and do away with unnecessary paperwork. Just my observation."
"I will not return here for any more pregnancy ultrasounds. I went in for an OB ultrasound and when they printed the images for me they printed it on a 8x11 normal sized piece of paper so therefore the image was blurry. I walked all the way back in to ask if this is normal that they don’t print off normal ultrasound smaller glossy photos and they said no they print them in normal paper. This makes 0 sense to me and I will not be returning for my anatomy scan there. I’m very confused how they can be a radiology womens imaging center and not even have the correct paper or printing machine on their ultrasound machines. Makes my first ultrasound for this pregnancy not special at all. What am I supposed to do with a giant piece of paper?? Do not go here ladies!!"
"I've been here twice now. Each time the appointment was right on schedule and the staff was decent. Front desk gals are a little 'rough' but checking people in 40 hours a week has to get a bit old! All in all, good experiences here."
