So Gong Dong Tofu & BBQ 104 ( 소공동 순두부 둘루스 104 )

"I frequently dine at various So Gong Dong locations for their 순두부, and my expectations are typically high due to consistently great experiences. However, this particular location didn't quite meet my usual standards for a few reasons. Firstly, the soup base seemed rather plain compared to what I've encountered at other So Gong Dong branches. This sentiment was echoed by a friend who joined me for lunch. Moreover, they opted to leave the air conditioning off, choosing to keep the front entrance door open instead. With an outside temperature exceeding 70°F, I found myself sweating while trying to enjoy a hot tofu dish. My friend shared the same discomfort. If the owner's intent was to save on the electricity bill, it may not have been the best decision. Lastly, the service was only mediocre. Until the time to bring the check arrived, our waitress didn't check in on our satisfaction, a courtesy I usually experience at other So Gong Dong locations. Despite it being during the lunch rush, the restaurant wasn't particularly crowded at the time."

"First Korean meal of the New Year. Decided on Bibimbap Hot Stone Bowl instead of their popular tofu soups. Very good. Service spot on. Banchan also fresh."

"Recently ordered an order of seafood pancakes to go for dinner. I called and gave myself enough time to pick it up. 23 minutes later I arrived to pick my order and it is still not ready. So i went to pay for my order and was greeted very rudely by the cashier to tell me it needed 10 more minutes. When i received my order, where i had to wait over 30 minutes, i realized they forgot my order and only started making it when i came to pick it up. The printed out receipt on my pickup order confirms this theory (see pic). They could of at least been honest about their mistake since i paid $20 for an order of seafood pancakes. Not exactly a cheap meal. Lastly, when i came in, the restaurant was not full at all, with 1 table of customers leaving and probably 1 take out order ahead of me. Either way, not going back here due to poor customer service, even though, the food tasted fine."

"Came here with my family today, I didn’t even know they had a SGD location in Duluth. (it’s kind of hidden in the plaza behind QT off North Berkeley rd) the quality of food was amazing and very much similar to the location off 109. I ordered the ham & sausage tofu soup + bbq pork combo. The only thing I would say that was different is the kimchee was way better at this location ^^ the staff were friendly and wasn’t packed compared to the other locations; I’m assuming this is a new location. Highly recommend if you’re in the Duluth area for tofu soup/bbq."

"Conveniently located in the same shopping center as Spa Land off of North Berkeley. The parking lot has enough parking spaces to accommodate large parties. As I entered the door, I was greeted by a team of So Gong Dong employees. I got sat right away. No reservations needed. If you’re looking to share an intimate family dinner at So Gong Dong also offers private dining rooms. The menu here is pretty simple and straight to the point. There are many protein options for tofu soups. One of the things I like about this place, if you have the option to choose rice, ramen, or noodles. This is by far one of my favorite tofu soup spots !"
