"I've been going here regularly since the soft opening earlier this year. All their food is excellent. This place has the best salmon!!! They use high quality ingredients and it shows in the taste. It can be on the pricey side but it's worth every penny. Be patient with the service as they're still relatively new. If you value high quality tasty food, give it a try!"
"A Taste of Caribbean Paradise I recently had the pleasure of ordering from Scotchies, a Caribbean gem that left me utterly impressed with its delectable food and top-notch customer service. The friendly staff made me feel like an honored guest, and their knowledge of the menu and willingness to assist with recommendations made the experience of waiting all the more enjoyable. Now, let's talk about the food – it was an explosion of flavors that delighted my taste buds! I couldn't resist ordering their signature dish, the jerk chicken. The chicken was succulent, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection and surprisingly spicy. If you can’t handle heat, go for the brown stew chicken, which was amazing too. The accompanying sides of rice and peas and cabbage was the ideal complements, creating an amazing taste. What impressed me the most was the attention to detail in every dish. The use of authentic Caribbean ingredients and traditional cooking techniques truly showcased the chef's dedication to preserving the essence of Caribbean cuisine. In conclusion, Scotchies, combination of flavorful dishes and exceptional customer service makes this restaurant a must-visit. By the way, this was my first time, but is now a go to for my family."
"Wow, I don’t even know where to begin. For one, My friend and I were warmly welcomed by a very charismatic Jamaican man named Derek. With this being our first time here, he explained the menu in great detail and kept us laughing the entire interaction. We decided to get the Brown Stew Fish and Curry chicken, per his recommendation, and was far from disappointed! The flavor! The texture! The abundance of food on my plate! By the time I finished, I had to pop my button open. Plus, the islandade is a top notch drink by itself (or with tequila). But for a great experience, the bar was definitely set. Y’all need to go check it out and stop reading this review! Did I mention this was our first time here!? Yea…I have no choice but to come back."
"The absolutely best Jamaican food in Alpharetta!!!....I've tried them all and Scotchies stands out above the rest. They give quality service, outstanding food and they valued feedback and my business. I will be back tomorrow lol it's that good. Brown stewed shrimp and curry shrimp are banging... shrimp was cooked perfectly food was seasoned and had plenty of flavor. The rice was cooked perfectly the cabbage was good too, I can't say enough good things about this restaurant, absolutely amazing!!!!! Can't wait to try the jerk ribs"
"If you are in the mood for something different in Alpharetta or Atlanta, Sotchie’s is worth a visit. The new Alpharetta location is just off Windward Parkway near 400. This authentic Jamaican restaurant is named after the Scotch Bonnet Peppers used in the recipes. If you are wondering about the spice, think ghost peppers. Scotchie’s can bring the heat. The owner Kevin’s Dad started a restaurant by the same name in Jamaica and he says he still uses his grandmother’s tasty recipes. When I chanced to stop in his partner Amanda was running the front counter in this not quite completely open Alpharetta location. She invited me in and made me welcome as I was just standing by the door wondering what I was walking in to. I was super curious and quite hungry so I asked for something tasty that would let me know about the food. Keven served an amazing salmon filet in a spicy sauce with vegetables, rice, and some sweet grilled plantains to balance the spice. He also does shrimp the same way. However, the jerk chicken for take out to my mom was next on my agenda. Another customer was raving about the ox tail. Be warned, those peppers are delicious but the heat builds gradually. So good but they do get hot. They are still getting things set up in Alpharetta but they will soon have beer/wine to complement the great food. For me they had a citrusy Jamaican Champagne soda that was the perfect sweet to balance the heat. The owners are great people. I will be back. Oh, and my mom loved the chicken."
