Rodney Scott's BBQ

"Went here with about 15 other family members. It's a BBQ spot, so they have NO vegan entree options. I didn't like the inconsistency in some of their food items. For instance, my grandson's onion rings were nicely breaded and fried. Yet, my onion rings, which didn't come out with my other food, was lacking most of the breading and were greasy. My grandson's and daughter's mac and cheese had a nice, held together consistency (see picture with the onion rings), but my husband's looked, and tasted like watery boxed mac and cheese (see picture with the ribs). My husband also said the ribs were tough and lacked flavor. They had three different sauces on the table and all were rather watery. They also didn't have the apple pie that is shown on the menu. Neither the sweetened nor unsweetened teas were strong or flavorful. I will say, the hush puppies were good and my daughter and grandson liked their cornbread and the version of the mac and cheese they got. The portions were generous, the food was served quickly, and the staff were friendly. Perhaps it wasn't a good night or our party was too large. It was my first experience and, most likely, my last."

"My wife and I weren't able to go when in Charleston so we had to capitalize while in Atlanta. Everything we had was really delicious. If only a few suggestions: make sure the pimiento cheese is blended better (there were a few chunks of plain cream cheese), and the mac and cheese could use some improvement. The mac and cheese was just 'okay.' It was tasty, but could have been way better. We got a whole hog plate with hush puppies and collard greens. Everything was fantastic. We also got some fries and mac and cheese. We also got the wings.... easily some of the best I've ever had. So good. Finally, we got the pimiento cheese and sausage appetizer. I could have made a meal just from this. If you're on the fence, go here! It's real deal barbecue."

"Very friendly employee! We love the dining room design (lots of nature light!). Great tasting BBQ! (A bit pricey though) Many different sauces to choose try out. Will revisit if we are in the area!"

"I had the worst dining experience here. I walked in and ordered the 2 meat combo which came with ribs,brisket,mac and cheese as well as French fries. We got our order pretty quick I would say but the overall food quality was just distasteful. The ribs were super dry and so chewy. The Mac and cheese was hard just the like an uncooked shell. The cornbread was so rubbery I couldn’t even break it apart without force. It also had no flavor that wasn’t cornbread that was just bread. The fries were decent but you can’t really mess up on that. The sauce itself didn’t help because it was just so watery and had no flavor what’s so ever. The brisket itself looked and tasted so dry I even found plastic in it!! Plastic that I could have choked on we made the server aware I don’t remember her name but she had a bigger set of glasses, she argued with us saying there’s no plastic in my food saying thats “part of the meal” then she proceeded to walk away with an attitude without saying anything and taking my food to the back. Then she didn’t even come back herself she had sent someone else to bring us our food he seemed like the cook.I also had 4 other guest with me and they all had plastic in their food. This is not BBQ it’s not edible. $25 not well spent!!! Fox BBQ is so much better just do yourself the favor and go there!!!Where’s the hospitality in this place???!!"

"Enjoyed some of the best BBQ in Atlanta for my birthday. Rodney Scott's is soooo good! The meal was excellent; hot and ready to eat. The delivery was perfect and on time. Everything arrived as expected. I have never had a bad meal at the restaurant, so my expectations were exceeded with your catering services, Thanks!"
