"Update: Technically, we were called back only 11 minutes after our scheduled appointment time, the 30 minute early arrival requirement combined with the need to feed just made it seem like a whole lot longer. We were called back almost immediately after my initial review post. The nurse was kind and friendly and walked my daughter through the process. Then the radiologist, Amy, came in less than five minutes later. She joked with my daughter and made her feel comfortable before starting the GI with contrast. Both the PA and the radiologist explained everything and kept her laughing so she never got nervous. I was able to stand behind a wall and watch the images as they were being taken, and I loved that aspect because it is transparent and involves the patient/patient’s family in the process. Once we were called back to begin, it was as enjoyable a process as possible, minus all the barium involved. I think this department’s biggest downfall is having patients show up hungry, a half an hour before their appointment, to sit in a waiting area and do nothing but fill out Google reviews while obsessively thinking about food. The woman at the check-in desk was kind. I’ll update my review after we actually see nursing staff. For now we’ll just keep reading the free Bible while trying to distract ourselves from thoughts of food."
"Extremely nice and professional staff. The radiology techs excelled in customer service! They explained everything and solicited questions prior and during the procedure. This is the fourth time I've had radiology since joining Piedmont. Although there are 2 facilities closer to my home I drive the extra distance because of the excellent customer service."
"I was referred to Piedmont Fayette Radiology by Dr Surkussian to have a tumor burned off my left kidney. I checked in with the guy at the Radiology Department; in a few minutes, he called me up to gain further information. He showed me the door where someone would come & get me shortly. I sat in front of that door. After everyone who had come in had been waited on & 2 hits+ had passed? I asked the receptionist if they were running behind schedule. In a tacky voice she said I don’t know. She called someone & was on the phone with that person (PA) for a few minutes & she said no one told her that I was waiting. She said, somebody would be with me shortly. The PA I was to see came & got me & introduced me to a Doctor (he was leaving the country & therefore another doctor would be performing the procedure). The PA scheduled an appointment for me to have a biopsy. She said that I should get the results within 3-5 days. I came to there office early but found out that I wasn’t going to have a biopsy but the doctor would be burning off the suspicious tumor. The PA said, I told you that they were going to do the procedure that day & I said no you said I was going to have a biopsy. The doctor explained the reason (didn’t want to have to make more than one incision). I was in agreement so he performed the procedure. Three months later I came for a scan & in January I came for another scan. I had the scan made in January at the Piedmont center in January because it was closer. No one has called me regarding the results of the January scan, so today I called. She said someone would be reviewing the scan & would call me with the results. I asked that if I hadn’t called would anyone have contacted me regarding the results. She said that the person that was suppose to review my scan & contact me moved out of state."
