Brown Derby Steakhouse Belden Village

"We haven't been to a Brown Derby for over 15 years. We went a couple of weeks ago and it was excellent. EB special 4 oz. filet with baked potato & salad for $16.99 was delicious. DH had ground sirloin, fries & salad, and also very good. The super salad came in a huge bowl for us to share, and it was great! We will definitely go back."

"A nice little steakhouse, better than some chain but could have been better. Took a bit to get our drinks and food, but overall an okay meal. Think we will try another steakhouse in Canton before coming back to here as it wasn't to die for."

"What a disappointment! Let me preface this extremely negative review by saying that our server was delightful and the bartenders were very nice and apologetic. Tonight was our first time at this location and our first visit to a Brown Derby in over 20 years. We were told it would be a 30 minute wait. After an hour I asked the hostess for an update and she said about 30 more minutes. The bar staff took pity on us and cleared a table in the bar area. We ordered immediately. We finished the salad and still hadn't received drinks. There was no clean silverware, so we were given plastic silverware. My husband cutting a 20 ounce porterhouse with a plastic fork made a great photo. We told the manager of our woes. She said they were really busy and had a few parties and people called off. When I told her about the wait she asked if maybe I just didnt hear my name being called. I said my food didn't come out correctly and she said my server must have rung it in wrong. She offered us 25 percent off of our meal and said she hoped to see us again. I said thank you, but we would not be returning. At one point while the server was talking to us and giving sincere apologies, the manager tossed a free app coupon on to our table and said "come back". We gave it to the table next to us who had been waiting over an hour for their meal. The steak and shrimp were both underwhelming. The bathrooms were dirty. Our server was very sweet and said she felt so bad that my mom's birthday dinner went so poorly. There were only 2 servers/bartenders for the bar and all of the tables in the bar area (including a large party), so I do feel somewhat guilty complaining about the lack of timely service. I have worked in the service industry and am familiar with how restaurants are supposed to function. This was not it. Again, I know this instance was not the servers fault."
