"This place is a big joke. Guess they think something is better than nothing which in most cases is true. Not when it comes to behavioral health. They gave me one ILSW who tried to blame her tardiness on me. I requested a different counselor not a ILSW. The second one , once again an Independent Licensed Social worker got snippy with me when I answered her question to the best of my ability and when I I told her I felt like her tone and words sounded snippy, she got even more snippy which upset me and I told her she was not a licensed counselor but a social worker (which was fact) not even a psychologist, she hung up on me. True professionalism....not! Then for medical side when I set up an appt for a specific medication I was told yes that provider did prescribe it. Today is Thursday and my appt was suppose to be Monday. They called, and glad they did because I found out after waiting months that they are no longer allowed to prescribe for my medication. Would of been nice to know more than 1 business day ahead of appt. I honestly now understand why they have no phycologist or registered counselors in my insurance network. Totally disorganized and have a bunch of people who are either burnt out from over work or incompetent. If you are seeking help for depression and or anxiety go else where if you can. Their Independent Licensed Social Workers will make you want to kill yourself if you are on tipping point. Thankfully I wasn't and am not. It is a shame that in America this is all the better we get for mental health treatment. Integrated services should be ashamed. I haven't spoken to one person who has anything good to say about their experience with Athens or Meigs county offices besides reception and intake personnel are very nice and competent."
