"I’ve had the pleasure of bringing my daughter to Hand to Shoulder Rehabilitation for occupational therapy with Carol, and I couldn't be more impressed with the care and attention she’s been receiving. From the moment we walk in the door, we are greeted warmly by Carol and her office manager/aide Linda, who both exude a genuine sense of caring and compassion for their patients. It's clear that Carol is more than just a business owner; she is a kind-hearted individual who truly wants to see her patients thrive. Many still stop by to catch up with her from time to time too! One of the things I appreciate most about Hand to Shoulder Rehabilitation is the personalized approach to care. Carol takes the time to get to know her patients on a personal level and tailors each session to meet their individual needs. She goes above and beyond to make therapy fun and engaging for children, incorporating games and activities into each session to keep them motivated and interested. She even went so far as to print out a calendar for my daughter to track her progress, and provided her with a special prize when she completed her exercises. That level of dedication and thoughtfulness is truly unparalleled. Linda, Carol's office manager/aide, is also a wonderful asset to the practice. She is incredibly friendly and always willing to go the extra mile to help patients feel comfortable and at ease. I've seen her assist older patients to their cars and help those in wheelchairs with getting in and out of vehicles. She's a true gem! Overall, Hand to Shoulder Rehabilitation is a fantastic place for anyone in need of occupational therapy. Carol and Linda create an environment that feels more like visiting friends than going to a medical facility. Their personalized approach, kindness, and attention to detail are truly exceptional, and I would highly recommend them to anyone seeking this type of care. Thank you, Hand to Shoulder Rehabilitation, for all that you do! The Strauss Family"
"My husband and I both have seen Carol for treatment and could not have asked for higher quality care. The staff is friendly and welcoming, assuring you know where things are in the office and offering snacks as well. This creates an environment where you feel welcomed and establishes trust. Carol is very thorough with her treatments and assures that you are performing the exercises you need to gain optimal use back of your extremity she’s treating, yes this may include playing games or playing with putty. No stone goes unturned by Carol and she knows whether you’re overdoing things at home or not doing your exercises needed to get back full use of your extremity. Carol was immediately helpful in assessing my husband’s hand after I expressed some concern about swelling and limited use of his thumb. She assisted my husband in getting in to see a hand specialist at WVU after her assessment, and because of Carol, he has full function of his hand currently! I have had therapy to both hands after surgery for carpal tunnel and ganglion cyst removal and was back to 100% with the help of Carol. Carol actively looks for assistive devices if needed in order to help you continue to go the things and hobbies you love, mine included crochet! In regards to a previous review I see about her being on her phone, I would ask that you reconsider your review as she is frequently texting to check in on patients or finding ways to fit patients into her schedule ON HER PERSONAL NUMBER or social media account, mind you. I would not recommend anyone other than Kisner McGraw Hand to Shoulder Rehabilitation to patients that need rehab to their upper extremities!"
"Carol and her team is awesome. I was referred to go to her for some tears in my right elbow a few years ago. She educated me on what and why she was doing what she was doing. The atmosphere is great. There is good conversations not only with Carol but the others getting treatment as well. When the number of insurance treatments ran out and it was apparent I still needed some therapy she worked with me so I got the treatment I needed and she was still compensated. Even though it has been a while since I have needed her services she reaches out to see how my arm is doing. She cares about her patients more than just therapy. She is well respected in the community and every doctor I have told I went to Carol said that was one of the best decisions I could have made. If you mess up your arm from shoulder to finger tips, Carol is the place to go in Morgantown."
"I’ve had several hand surgeries, wrist surgeries, and a shoulder surgery. I was sent to Carol probably 8 years ago after the first one, with an attitude of “I don’t have time for therapy”. Well, apparently I did, because I’ve been a client ever since. Carol is top notch at what she does. She makes it fun and becomes your friend and in the process you walk away with full function of your hands. Highly recommend Carol and Kisner McGraw Hand to Shoulder for any upper extremity issues you may have!"
"Carol is a wonderful person and therapist. She has excellent bedside manner and has always been overly accommodating to my schedule, at her own personal cost. When I was a full time grad student, I had broken one wrist and a metacarpal in the other hand. The wrist mobility was severely limited, and in the early stages of healing, the tendon of the thumb was stuck, allowing for no mobility at all in the thumb. My overall grip strength of both hands was also greatly reduced. Carol taught me various exercise to get me moving again, and I had regained most if not all of my mobility and grip strength by the time she released me."
