Eastern Ohio Correction Center

The Eastern Ohio Correction Center, located at 470 Ohio 43 in Wintersville, Ohio, is dedicated to empowering individuals to reach their full potential. The institution envisions positive changes for families and future generations, resulting in healthier communities.

The institution works closely with Common Pleas Court Judges to refer potential felony offenders for placement at EOCC. The Intake Coordinator conducts an extensive screening process to determine eligibility for placement. Once accepted, offenders may serve up to six months at EOCC.

EOCC operates two facilities: the Wintersville Facility, which can house up to 86 male residents, and the Lisbon Facility, which can house up to 40 female residents. The institution serves several counties and provides comprehensive programming for individuals on felony supervision.

Eastern Ohio Correction Center is one of nineteen Community-Based Correctional Facilities in Ohio, dedicated to diverting non-violent, low-level felony offenders from prison. The institution is ACA accredited and is an equal opportunity facility.
