"Mediocrity and reached the Hampton Inn. I used to seek out the Hampton Inn on trips. That is slowly fading away. Upon check in, the staff was undertrained on how to actually check someone in. That was frustrating. Made it to my room and found I was greeted by a 1/3 full water bottle on the night stand. Super!!! Checked the rest of the room and found it to be dirty. A cursory cleaning at best. Notified the staff and was met with the expected “sorry”. In the morning, their once very nice breakfast has been replaced with gas station pastries and waterlogged eggs. Just a shame used to really like the Hampton Inn. The entire chain seems to be slipping."
"The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Everyone was very friendly and smiling when you approached them and asked questions. But the biggest kindness was from the kitchen staff. I noticed that there wasn't any oatmeal and the front desk told me to just ask the lady who was in charge of stocking and making the breakfast items. I asked her for a packet of oatmeal. She said she didn't have packets, but would make a fresh bowl. She did. All the while with a smile and with kindness. Our room clean, quiet and comfortable. The grounds were immaculate and well landscaped. The coffee bar was clean and well stocked. I would stay here again in a minute."
"We called the direct number (678) 782-7501to make a reservation. Two people and a small dog. We were told the rate was $114.99 plus taxes and fees. The fees were $69 and we were told that included the pet fee. No problem. The room was terrible. There were food crumbs on the floor, stains on the carpet, and the king bed had queen sheets on it, so the bottom sheet barely covered the top of the mattress. Water pressure was really low and it took forever to get hot water, which is odd for a hotel. Then the next day they whacked us $50 for the pet fee. When we called to question this, they told us we had booked with a third party (they said priceline) and the third party did not charge the pet fee. They could not tell us what the $69 in fees was for. I really like Hampton Hotels and I am a Hilton Honors member. By and large they are great, but this one is a dump, and they could not care less about their customers. Our suspicion is that they had their phone forwarded to the third party. Seems very sketchy and deceitful. I certainly will not stay at this location ever again. We called the hotel on 12/14 upon seeing the extra $50 charge on our card and they refused to fix the problem. Makes me wonder if the third party company is owned by the same people who own the hotel."
"Check-in was good. The staff was the only good thing about the hotel. Everyone was very friendly. The hotel itself looked dated. Our room had water spots on the ceiling in the bathroom, a barn door as the bathroom door, which seemed very weird cause it didn't close all the way for privacy. You could hear everything anyone was doing in the bathroom. There was hair in the shower, and the floors did not look swept when we got the room. The walls are paper thin, and we got to hear the elevator motors run all night. This may be standard practice, but as much as you pay for these rooms, they should be serviced every day with at least having the beds made and fresh towels. There is a sign in the bathroom that says service is every other day. We were there for 3 nights, and we never had our room done. On the second night, we went down for fresh towels and was told they didn't have any. You just expect better from a Hampton."
"You are only as good as the room we staying in, and it had issues. All the caulk around the tub was cracked and molded. The shower trickled out without a spray. Must have a pressure issue. They have the nice dispensers for soap shampoo and conditioner. The only problem was that there were 2 conditioners and no shampoo. There is not much you can do about this once you are in and wet. The breakfast was great. I wish they would start at 6 am rather than 7. Oh well."
