"My first visit to a Marshall’s. After losing everything we own in a house fire —one week ago. I met Ms. Carla ( customer service coordinator) she was absolutely the most wonderful and helpful woman I have met in a retail business in a very long while. As her co-worker ( large girl, lots of piercings and tattoos wearing g a spaghetti strap tank top - looked extremely unprofessional) yelled at her, treated her like a dog and laughed. Ms. Carla was professional, apologetic about the other cashier and went above and beyond. I spoke with the manager on duty and advised him of the situation. I pray Ms. Carla is given a letter of recommendation and praise for her superb service and excellent customer service skills."

"It's one of my favorites! They always have a wide selection shoes, clothes, handbags, candles, and kitchen items. However, I wished they would carry a bigger selection of Xtra large women's tops, blouses, and dresses. They never have more than a very few items in stock in this size. Not even enough to take up a very, very small end portion of a rack. On average, they may have 5 to 8 tops in Xtra large. Although Marshall's and TJ Maxx are the same company and carry basically the same stock, TJ Maxx always has a better and larger selection in everything. Especially their jewelry, candles, handbags, and shoes. I have never understood why they don't have the same selections. So, I tend to go to TJ Maxx more than I do to Marshall's for this reason. Their employees are mostly friendly. If you ask for their help, they will help you. But they will not go out of their way to ask you. There always seems to be a line at Marshall's. Sometimes, they are able to take care of getting customers to check out quickly, and sometimes they aren't. I also wish they would have kept their layaway away. But I understand that all department stores have gone away from offering this."
