"They canceled a Promise Keepers event over a statement PK put out saying “..there are 2 genders created by God….” How can this college be Christian and not follow the word of God?"
"In all honesty, I wouldn't recommend this school to anybody. I went through their CDL Program. What a complete joke. They didn't fulfill not even half of what is laid out in the curriculum. It was supposed to be a 5 week course and I spent 7 weeks there. All their trucks are manuals. No automatics at all. It was my 6th week going on my 7th week when they finally started showing me how to shift gears. By that time I was already out of time and money. The last instructor I dealt with said that my shifting was atrocious. Well no wander. If they had actually taught the way they're supposed to I would've been ready for testing. Now they have done nothing but drag their feet on finding me a test site with an automatic to use and because of that, as of today, my permit has now expired. I worked my tail off and now I have nothing to show for it because that school doesn't care about their students."
"I would not recommend this school to my worst enemy! I had nothing but issues in the welding program. You are better off going to the union and letting them teach you the trade for free! A welding degree is a complete waste of time. It does not count towards hours if you decide to go union you have to start all over. The facility was terrible the directors of the program was a complete joke. Half the time the shop did not even have materials. I pretty much had to teach myself through YouTube because the teachers do not teach! Do not waste your time on a degree at Belmont. You will find it’s nothing but issues the whole duration of your college experience."
"In all honesty this college could be great, in fact one of the best community colleges in the USA. Unfortunately it’s not, not even close. The financial aid is not something I ever recommend dealing with, most advisors are dismissing and disinterested in their work(mostly because there is like 3 for all students in the college), the campus it self is cramped and unorganized, the student commons area is constantly rented out to college staff and others for personal use, and the newly installed cafeteria is so over priced that it’s worth the walk to Subway, or the BP to get a sandwich from their instead. The library is atrocious, almost no in depth study material is available and if you would want to get a book loaned out from and other library you might as well travel there and get it there. I wanna make a personal complaint here so this is just my opinion and not facts, the chairs here are AWFUL. I understand college is a place of learning and not relaxing but it feels as if the chairs are designed to make students uncomfortable and want to leave. Also you cannot find a public printer, do not use the printer in the study commons it is never working. The only advice I could give to whatever individual working for this college is this: 1. Hire more student advisors. They are constantly overwhelmed. 2. Lower prices in the cafeteria and vending machines. We already owe you thousands upon thousands of dollars. 3. Get Couches....."
"The financial aid department is unorganized. It's as if they expect new students to know what to do. They do not offer assistance unless you beat down their door and demand it. The instructors who I have had are great. Very helpful. The way classes are offered is not so great. It took me 4 years of going part time to graduate from the LPN program. This was because the classes I needed for the night program were not offered consecutively. Good instructors. Poor management and financial aid services."
