"I have nothing but good things to say about this business. We had some bathroom floor damage due to a leaking pipe so we called GRS Restoration and Steven came out that day to take a look! He quoted us and got the ball rolling with insurance super quick. The whole process just went smooth and the tile flooring was exactly what I asked for! The results just speaks for itself! All his staff throughout the process were very professional and friendly. Overall we had am amazing experience and I would definitely recommend them to anyone!"

"Steven shows up at the beginning of the job very quickly but then will leave the job incomplete and ghost you once he's gotten some money out of you. If you manage to get him on the phone again, he'll promise to fix the job, ghost you again, and then eventually tell you why he can't do whatever it was he said he'd do.......If you want the job actually completed, look for someone else. I hired Steven to stop water coming into the basement of my house. He proposed a solution and said it would stop the water. He was hired to complete the work. When his solution failed to stop the water he tried to charge more money for additional work to solve the same problem he said he'd already fixed. After much complaining he finally fixed the water issue. Upon completion, it was immediately obvious that the finish grading work outside the home was rapidly settling and done improperly. When asked about this he propose I hold back a small portion of the job cost and he would come back and fix it. I asked a second time to confirm that he planed to come back and fix the site for the remaining funds and he emphatically said, "Yes, or course." He now refuses to come back and fix it and I'll have to hire another contractor to complete the work correctly. He now has the audacity to say the problem is my fault and that I've asked for something for free. I've simply asked that the problem he was originally contracted to fix, be fixed and the job site returned to an acceptable finished condition."

"Absolute nightmare company to work with. Used them for a bathroom renovation since our shower was leaking. They had to replace the subfloor and redo all of the tile. Steven told us it would take 2 to 3 weeks max. It took over 5.5 months for an incomplete and terrible job. Steven is one of the worst communicators I have ever encountered. Most of the time we would go weeks with no response from him or his men. He took no accountability. He even got extremely rude to us when we told him we wanted him to redo the bathroom tile after his men did a terrible job. The tile work they did was so poor. There were broken pieces of tile, uneven tile, big gaps, uneven shower floor and the shower door didn't even fit. Left my closet covered in dust after Steven told me it would be sealed off. After months of trying to come to an agreement with Steven, he finally gave us some of our money back but was very rude about it. We had to pay another contactor to fix all of the work Steven's men did. I would never recommend GRS to anyone!! Find another contractor!"

"Our experience with Steven was terrible and a major eye opener. We were introduced to Steven through our realtor while trying to sale our previous home. When we moved into our new home, we hired him to replace the flooring, remodel two bathrooms, and paint the house. He spoke to my husband and I about our expectations and sent an estimate. It was agreed that we would pay him half up front and the rest once the job was complete. We wanted to get stared right away, but due to our bank policy, we were not able to pay the first payment right away. We informed Steven of this and he chose to rip up all of our flooring anyway and leave us with sub flooring all throughout the house until we were able to make the first payment. We paid him a week later, and the subfloor stayed untouched for another 3 weeks. It took me sending him a long message about his unprofessionalism before he decided to do his job. He continued to ask for money even though we agreed we would pay half up front and the rest when the job was complete. He claimed it was to “pay his men.” He should have paid his men with the 12k we paid up front. During this process, he was very inconsistent. He failed to supervise his men on the job. The floor was put down at the end of March and it is already coming apart. I have had two other contractors come in to look at our flooring and they were surprised at the poor work done. When the rooms were painted, his men took the shelves out of our closet and left them laying on the bed along with a bottle full of spit on our floor. They also left the window open in our bedroom that does not have a screen on it. When my husband called Steven to see if his men were coming back to put the shelves back up, he refused to have them come back that night. He asked for money every other week and I finally asked to see itemized receipts with material cost included. He claimed that his software did not include material costs. We refused to pay him anything else until the job was done. When asked when the quarter round would be installed, he said that he had to figure out numbers. 2 months have passed and he still must be figuring out numbers. It seems to me that he may need to take a few math courses to aid in “figuring out numbers” as well as a business course or two to learn how to properly run a business like a professional. If you need contracting or restoration services, I suggest using someone who is a part of the Better Business Bureau and that is not GRS Restoration."
