Reviews of Affordable Vet Center
"Today was an awfully hard day. We had to put our old girl down. Sugar gave us a wonderful 6+ years of her sweet life. She came to us as an older dog and loved us unconditionally. She is very much missed. The staff went above and beyond. They were very kind and helpful. Nurse and Dr made the experience and decision a bit easier. I am very grateful for their professionalism and patience. Thank you all for making this process a bit easier."
"This place was very affordable and Chole was extremely sweet and helpful. I came here to do a wellness check on my baby Malibu. Malibu was 13.5 years old but unfortunately, her health was not good and her quality of life was poor. I had to make the hard decision to let her rest her eyes for good. Selfishly I kept her longer than I should have as she saved my life. The vet and chole allowed me to have as much time as needed to say goodbye and let me hold her paw while she passed. I paid $170 for the visit and euthanasia. I couldn’t afford cremation and bringing her ashes home so they bagged her and put her in a cardboard coffin and help me load her in my truck. I took her home to rest forever underneath her favorite tree where she used to chase the rabbits."
"Normally, I would give 5 stars. I NEVER have problems here. But this particular visit was the complete opposite. I walked in with my dog and there was a vet tech I’ve never seen before. He walked out into the waiting room where we were, didn’t say anything just reached his hand out for the leash. I asked if he was there for (my dogs name) and he nodded his head. I handed the leash over to him and my dog started to go with him. She turned around and tried to come back to me. So I walked partially down the hall with her so she would be more willing to follow him. Then I hid around the corner while they kept walking. I peeked around the corner and she noticed I wasn’t behind her, but she kept walking. This vet tech literally YANKED on her collar as her nails were dragging across the floor. Then I could hear her whining in the back while her nails were still being drug in the back on the ground. I walked back to the front and sat down with my accompanying guest. The entire time I’m freaking out about how this random man is treating my dog, the receptionist is staring at me and whispering like I can’t hear her. I was so mad I was shaking. I gave them 5 minutes until I walked into the back to check on her. No acknowledgment from the two people hovering over her, one being the vet tech. I walked back to the front and waited for my dog. I made sure to record as she came out because I wanted the vet tech on video. Now, I have a video of her walking partially out of the room, being yanked by her collar AGAIN where her feet come off the ground and she gets pulled back into the room. Livid is an understatement. This is why she wears a harness but she couldn’t wear it this day because of medical complications. So she had to be in a collar, and for a “vet tech” to be yanking a dog around by its throat is extreme disgusting. Then, I continued to video when he came out with my dog and he doesn’t smile or look at us or anything. Completely expressionless and stand offish. And then when we told him “I have the leash” he wouldn’t let go and we had to ask him 4 times before she was back in our hands. The only time he was worried about anything was when I asked the receptionist what his name was. Like I said, I’ve been coming here for years and I’ve never had an issue. But this is inexcusable, especially from someone I’ve never even spoke to, much less never seen. To just take someone’s dog then mistreat them when you are supposed to be their caregiver, is vile and distasteful. One thing is for sure, Amisa (or however you spell his name) will NEVER touch my dog again. I will walk out on all of my appointments and find a new vet before she is in his care again. I am extremely disappointed in the “care” he gives and the way the receptionist acted when a worried pet mom noticed the mistreatment. All the doctors are great and the other receptionist was so kind. Amisa and the one receptionist made them lose the two stars though. He needs to learn how to treat nervous animals and she needs to learn how to treat worried patients. EDIT TO ADD: after i posted this, they found out. and called to tell me “were firing you as a patient because you went online instead of talking to us. you wrote a nasty review. were also cancelling your dogs surgery” WORD. FOR. WORD. WHAT SHE SAID. and keep in mind, my dog NEEDS this surgery. this place is an absolute joke. you treat animals like garbage then get caught and exposed, and youre mad. i cant imagine what theyve put my dog through when i wasnt able to catch them. below are screenshots of her being dragged and what this “man” looks like."
"This has become our family vet. It is very affordable but here's the real stand outs: 1) clean clean clean - It's really what I noticed first. The lobby and each room we've ever been into is impeccably clean! 2) friendly and caring team - We are always greeted with a very friendly team member. You know this staff cares for your animal. They point us to our needs with varying price points to help fit into our budget. 3) knowledgeable vets and staff - I always walk away feeling they took time (a real exam) with my pet. The ver doesn't come in, blink and then leave. No way! Here you have a very thorough and meaningful exam. They also seem to be very knowledgeable; at least for my pet, a dog. Okay, bottom line here.... Make Affordable Vet Center your pet's medical needs home."
"Brought our dog here for an acute skin rash and was able to be seen immediately the next day. Staff was SUPER friendly! Ladies at the front desk were warm and welcoming. Our vet tech was fun and knowledgeable. The Doctor took time to sit with us and provide thorough information and rationales. We moved here from across GA where we had established a vet who set the standard incredibly high. We were very pleased with not only the quality of care, but the cost of services. We will be regulars!"
