"My family has used the Ark for all our pets’ needs for over 13 years. While we miss the former doctors and staff and the current staff and management are new to us now, I found them very personable and accommodating. The tech support and doctors are knowledgeable, helpful and responsive. Thank you for taking good care of our pets past and present."
"I always get the appointment day/time I choose. Never have to wait. Friendly staff. Services or problem areas are explained in detail. I feel like they appreciate my business and treat my dog well."
"I've been taking my dog to this vet since 2016. Unfortunately, my dog bit someone recently and, to make matters worse, he was a few months late on his annual vaccinations. (Why late? Because I've had some financial and medical issues and he is low risk.) I scheduled his appointment for the coming Friday after noticing a reminder. Given my stroke of luck, I'm not surprised that later that morning, my plumber walked into my home to and my dog bit him on his gloved hand. Long story short, the plumber asked that I put him in a 10-day quarantine based on what he read online. I tried probably 20-times unsuccessfully the following day to get someone at Fulton County Animal Control on the phone to determine what "quarantine" actually meant. Nobody ever answered. Desperate for help and information, I called my dog's vet, Ark. For one, I wanted them to be aware that it happened because I had that upcoming appointment in case that was a problem for them and, to be honest, I was in a precarious situation and I needed for someone to actually care and have actual empathy and put a little effort into helping me understand what to do -- what an appropriate quarantine is. Look, I didn't expect the first person I spoke to know, but I do expect a veterinarian to have SOME idea of what protocol is after a dog bite. This can't possibly be their first dog bite situation, right? No help was offered, other than to tell me to call Animal Control which I had tried already. I told them I was already starting a 10-day at-home quarantine, which would not be completed before the upcoming appointment, and that I wanted him to be checked over as best they could at his appointment. They did not ask to reschedule or cancel my upcoming appointment on that call. I assumed that maybe they have some kind of protocol for keeping a quarantine dog away from others. (Don't assume.) A day or two later, I came to my senses and realized it seemed odd to take him to a vet's office during a quarantine. So I called and asked if I should reschedule until after. It was clearly the first time that needing to schedule occurred to them, but I brushed off that nagging feeling that they weren't paying attention or caring once again and rescheduled specifically for the day after his quarantine ended, 7 days after the original appt. I scheduled that exact date because I wanted to provide an update to the person who got bit that my dog was checked out by a vet. I was not asked for anything from Animal Control. WHY 1 STAR? Because this reschedule call was the ONLY appropriate time to tell me that they would not see my dog. Instead, less than 24-hours before my rescheduled appointment, they called to cancel. Literally, Monica, who I had spoken to before, called me with a tone as if them canceling wouldn't be a disaster for me, and the first thing she said was, "Hey, did your appointment get canceled yet?" (In my head I'm like, what, why? I literally an hour before or so confirmed it.) She told me for the first time ever that "for legal reasons" they cannot vaccinate Rourke unless he's been cleared by Animal Control. (Huh? Why am I finding this out only now, the afternoon before a morning appointment the next day?! BTW, multiple vets I called after were dumbfounded as to why I was being told this.) Look... I lost it. I'm sorry, but I lost it. She got yelled at. I'm sorry for it, but she and Ark Animal Hospital deserved it. You don't treat a customer and a living animal like a line in a calendar program on your computer screen. The time to cancel this appointment respectfully was when I rescheduled. Not the day before, not with such nonchalance, not when I called multiple times explaining the situation already, not AFTER I confirmed it. At some point I asked if he could at least be given a physical. Answer was a hard no, again. They called Animal Control ONCE and left a VM that day for the FIRST TIME. Clearly they contacted their lawyer, though. I'm sorry for yelling, but... wow."
"I brought my cat here to get a wellness check up, this staff was beyond amazing!!!! He has returned to normal. Everyone was so pleasant and seemed to genuinely care about my Diego. We will be returning with little brother Shadow very soon for an exam also!"
"Be warned about lack of transparency!!! Have taken my dog here for the past 2 years. However, on the most recent visit, I was informed that it was time for my dog to get a dental cleaning and the annual exam and bloodwork that my dog got would be counted toward the dental visit. Had I known that this office was not receiving dental cleaning patients for the past 2 years because they didn't have a doctor, I would have gone elsewhere to get the initial exam and bloodwork! The most they said was "I do apologize for that ma'am." So you mean to tell me that I asked all those questions about a dental cleaning and that it just so happened to have skipped your mind?! That you have no doctor to clean teeth?! Absurd!!"
