Reviews of Veterinary Center of Buckhead
"Have taken my dog here twice. The first time as a puppy, everything was expensive but seemed approximately correct given the area. The second time (within a single year), prices have tripled (and are 3x the price of other vets in the area). Ended up with a $600 bill without being given a quote and being told by Dr. Jenkins that the treatments wouldn't be a big deal. Couldn't be more disappointed and feel more taken advantage of by a veterinarian. As a student, I was not expecting this sort of a bill (literally more than half my rent) without a warning. Spoke with an office manager to ask about the increase in a bill and was completely dismissed. Hard to believe a vet wouldn't even think to give you an idea of such a high bill without any warning. Bottom line, take your pets literally anywhere else. It is a financial scam and complete price gouging."
"I had to put my elderly dog down today, and I struggled a lot with even making the phone call to make the appointment. When I finally did it, the receptionist was kind and understanding. The doctor was also kind, compassionate, and informative, and talked me through the whole process so I could rest assured that my dog felt no pain. This office made a terrible but necessary procedure as easy and painless as possible for both me and my dog, and I can’t thank them enough."
"Lance was absolutely amazing. My sweet cat was struggling with Kidney Failure. He did everything he could to make her and I feel better. We did have to put her to sleep, he was very personable and sweet during the whole process. He truly is an amazing vet. Thank you to everyone at the Veterans Center of Buckhead for all you did for me and Princess."
"My poor senior kitty was very sick. He had blood in his urine. I had taken him to three other vets who claimed he was fine including one who said “he doesn’t have anything that is going to kill him.” A friend recommended Dr Hirsch and I took Shakespeare to see him. We had never been there before. I told Dr. Hirsch his symptoms were and what I had been told. Dr. Hirsch immediately took Shakespeare to the back and used an ultrasound probe; he came back in and told us, sadly, that Shakespeare had advanced bladder cancer. No other vet had bothered to do or suggested an ultrasound and had allowed him to suffer needlessly for months while treating him for a bladder infection. Dr. Hirsch showed us everything and explained that Shakespeare was in a great deal of pain. There was no treatment available. After spending thirty minutes answering all our questions, we agreed that we needed to put my beloved kitty to sleep. Dr. Hirsch was very kind while we said our goodbyes. We left with our baby wrapped in one of their towels. Afterwards, we stopped at the front desk to pay our bill and discovered that there was no bill. We were not charged for the visit, the exam, the ultrasound or the euthanasia. It was the kindest thing a vet has ever done for us. I will forever be grateful to Dr Hirsch for his professionalism and kindness on a very difficult day."
"Took our sweet baby here after some scary news from the ER. The doctor (and rest of staff) was so nice, and he answered all of our questions in an easy-to-understand way. We left feeling so much relief! We look forward to bringing our cat here for any follow-up concerns as well as regular check-ups. The center itself was also really homey and welcoming."
