"Many friends recommended Swiss Cleaners in Opelika. I used them several times on my way to and from my bimonthly visits to the office. I was impressed with the quality of their work and last week I asked to set up an account so we could be put on their Auburn pick up and delivery route. We were supposed to get our first delivery today. I called to inquire what time we should expect them because of the weather. I was told someone would call me back with an ETA. I got a phone call about 15 minutes later from Bubba, the owner. I was told, "sweetie, I cannot justify putting you on our route because you have not done much business with us and you are not near any of my other customers." I was not offered anything like seeing what our volume is over a month and evaluating at the end and I was told they would do us a huge favor and return the pants, but they would not pickup or deliver to us again. I pointed out we were very close to Grove Hill and I know one of my friends is a customer, once I was able to get a word in while this man little lady'd me about the business world and how I just wouldn't understand concepts like ROI (I have a marketing degree, 20 years of experience and used to consult for small businesses like his). He told me even a quarter of a mile is too much out of the way. So I guess my table cloths will go to Alexander City with my mom and the rest of the stuff will go to work with my husband. It really blows my mind how there is no decent dry cleaners here who strives to provide outstanding customer service. So if you are on the Swiss Cleaners route...don't move because your business is not too important if you are not near his current customers."
