"HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR ANY EMERGENCIES!! I am not sure how this place received any bad reviews. After frantically trying to find an emergency vet that was open, I found Union City Vet Center. My Boxer, Molly, had eaten an entire pack of Sugar free gum which is a lethal dose of Xylitol. I called Union City Vet on my way and the very knowledgeable person who answered the phone was amazing in telling me to call poison control and get a case number so that the Dr. could get answers more quickly from Poison control once we arrived. When we arrived, they took Molly immediately back. Dr. Guishard was her provider and was AMAZING. Long story short, Molly was there 4 days and Dr. G saved her life. Dr. G and the entire staff were so empathetic and amazing. They answered my calls to check on Molly all hours of the night and were never rude or short with me. Dr. G and her staff both spent about 30 minutes with me talking about Molly and her at-home instructions before we left 4 days later. I paid an estimate when I dropped her off with the news that she would probably come home the next day, despite being there 3 more days I was presently surprised that my bill was only slightly more, mostly for medications that she needed at home. If I EVER have another emergency with Molly or my other pup, I will definitely go to Union City Vet Medical Center. Attached pictures are during a visit with Molly while she was staying at the hospital and 4 days after coming home."
"I honestly thought I already reviewed this vet hospital. But they are amazing and saved my dogs life. I took him to another local vet that diagnosed him with diabetes but suggested I should put him down because of the hard work it requires. I took my dog here for a 2nd opinion. My dog was really close to death and stayed in the hospital for 3 weeks. The staff and doctors are all helpful and knowledgeable. My dog loves the staff and it is a major difference from his previous vet. I'm so thankful for the doctors and staff and my dog has fully recovered and is doing amazing. I can't thank them enough. Everything was worth it."
"We as pet owners love and treat our pets as family. When there is an emergency, we want our pets taken care of like our loved ones because they are our loved ones. So we will take our pets to best place we know to be cared for in such an emergency. Well in my case Union City Veterinary Medical Center and Emergency Clinic was and is not the place to take your pet. On 12/29 my 4yr old German Shepard Axil was attacked by 3 of my neighbors pitbulls. He sustained several injuries from the altercation yet he survived. After getting the neighbors caretaker to put the pitbulls back in there kennels. I rushed to get Axil from Rex, Ga to Union City, GA in hopes of treatment and care for my dog to save his life. When I arrived of course there is the usual fill this form out first even though my dog is in the back of my vehicle in pain. So I filled the form out and the staff member came out to the car. He didn't come to immediately admit Axil, but to see if his wounds granted immediate care or if i would be put on a waiting list. After seeing the state Axil was in He then took him inside. I went in with him and he placed Axil on an exam table in exam room #3 and we waited about 15min before the Doctor came. The doctor examined Axil and then explained that she could save him. I was excited to know that he was going to be saved. The doctor leaves and writes up an estimate that would cost $2,470.54, to save Axil and of course I didn't have that amount on hand. This is where things started changing. They would not offer any services beyond this point until the total amount of the estimate was paid in full. So Axil and I waited an additional hour or more while finding the funds from family and friends to get the emergency surgery going. The dilemma was I would've had to leave to go get the form of payment and family member to do so. Why you ask, because they would not accept a payment over the phone but was willing to accept cash.app or zelle. Not only was I dealing with how to get the family member but I would have to take Axil with me if I left to go get the payment. So in the process of figuring out how to get this payment to them, Axil transitioned on the exam table right infront of me. Not only did my dog pass in front of me there was no sympathy or empathy from the staff at this point, it was still this is what you have to pay, now. They even took it a step further and called the police for security as if I was going to cause damage to something or someone. At that point the damage was already caused and it wasn't from me. If you are ever in a real emergency with your pet/loved one I recommend that you do not take them to this place. This place does not save pets it takes money. Union City Veterinary Medical Center and Emergency Clinic needs to be shut down because they do not truly care about you or your pet its all about the money."
"This emergency vet is absolutely the best. I traveled almost 2 hours to see them because no one else was open. They quickly got my dog back to be seen by the Vet. The vet tech, Alana was AMAZING. She was so thorough and calmed this dog mom’s nerves so well. Dr. Leroy was also fantastic. He was quick to see my dog and also quick to let me know surgery was needed STAT. The staff kept me updated through each step of the surgery and what to expect after. I am forever grateful for them."
"I must say I had a really great experience here; a bit pricier than other nearby vets but they took really great care of my cat Tigger. He had a blockage and they went into action to save my baby. I’d like to recognize Ms. Carmen because my cat needed a prescription for his food he’s on and she went right on and sent it in for me. She was very helpful and courteous. I’m very grateful for this place. They took great care of my Tigger. He’s doing well and back to himself again. I’m happy to have him back! Thanks to the staff and doctors for everything or my cat would’ve died. I recommend !"
