"I purchased a Barletta Tritoon back in May. I received a recall notice from Mercury via mail. Due to the fact that the recall came in the winter and I don't use the boat much during this time of year, I received a call from Singleton asking if it was ok to come over to my boathouse and perform the recall while my boat was in the boathouse. I did not even have to contact them to make arrangement, they stepped up to the plate and performed the repairs at my dock. You can't find that kind of service now a days from many people, so my hat is off to Singleton for great customer service."
"This was my first time purchasing a boat, and Singleton Marine did an outstanding job. My sales person, Robert Ely, at Lake Harding went above, and beyond to answer questions, take us out on the boat and exceeded all our expectations. He has small children and knew exactly how to help with the boat we were looking for to grow with our family."
"Robert sold me a boat two years ago and continues to answer my questions and help me with anything I need. I am amazed how many times he has gone above and beyond his job description. I knew he was a salesperson. What I didn’t know is what a great resource he would be even two years later. If you are looking for someone who will be with you even after the sale, you’ll not find anyone better than Robert."
"This review is for the outstanding service, hospitality, and care the staff showed my family and I when we were stuck in a tough situation. Last weekend my family and I drove to Lake Harding to test out our new (to us) boat. We got all the way out there and the tire on our trailer was holding on by a thread, there was no way we were going to make it 60 miles back home. By the grace of God we pulled over right in front of Singleton Marine. Now keep in mind, we do not own a fancy new boat, we bought ours for about $3k. The moment we walked into the parking lot of Singleton, we were greeted immediately. When we explained our situation, every person working that day immediately jumped in to help and to find us a solution. The sales and service department employees all worked together to help us out when we were really in a bind and get us safely back on the road. They gave us a tire to borrow and refused to take a dime from us. I cannot explain the gratitude we have for the wonderful men who were working that day. I wish I could bring them business but the boats are not in our price range at this point in our lives. However I hope this review shows as a testament to how genuine and kind the people who work here are. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!!"
"I called for service on my 2001 Malibu, a brand sold by Singleton, in mid-May. I identified my boat including age and service history to Greg Gordon, service manager. All service the past several years has been performed by Singleton ever since they moved to Lake Harding. Greg told me that he was three weeks out and to call back after Memorial Day. When I called back in mid-June, I spoke to Greg again, described the boat and age again, and set July 7th as a service date to have my boat up to the marina. When the 7th rolled around, my boat was there as I promised, and I got a call from Greg around 11:00 AM to tell me that Singleton would not work on a boat of that age, even if a brand they sell. He went on to say that Singleton preferred to work on boats six years or younger. Bottom line is Singleton doesn't service what they sell and Greg wasted two months of my time when he could have told me that back in May. Frankly, I believe my boat service issue started with a misdiagnosis by the previous Singleton service manager in 2018. I did find a wonderful shop at Wedowee Marine in Wedowee, AL and can't say enough about their work and very helpful, friendly attitude. Worth the drive. I always favor shopping at home and was excited when Singleton took over for Jay but with this experience, I will never consider Singleton for purchase or service. Poor attitude, border line arrogance."
