"Black Powder shooting supplies, muzzleloader rifles, shotguns and pistols in stock. Antique firearms, modern weapons, ammo. Very knowledgeable and helpful guys. And the most incredible collection of autographed photos of the stars of the old western movies you will ever see anywhere. Nice collection of antique arms... Very cool place to look around."

"I stopped by recently when the store was open, which is quite rare. I was in the market for a small pistol for my wife. I was shocked at how high the prices are here. When I asked questions regarding the firearm and the price of the firearm, the store owner acted as if it annoyed him, and made clear that he could not compete with the prices at big box stores. Other than “Academy Sports”, I do not know of any big box stores that sale handguns. Later that day, I stopped by a store called “Discount Sporting Goods”, in Dalton, GA. I seen the same handgun that I was interested in when at “G of Y”, but the price was easily 50% less at Discount Sporting Goods, which I might add, is not a big box store, and is owned by a local family; I asked. I suppose that if I were a regular patron or someone the gentleman at “G of Y” knew, I may have received a better deal and service, but that’s no longer an issue, since I’ve found a significantly better location, with much lower prices and superior selection, to meet my firearm supply needs."

"Had the chance to visit these fine folks this past weekend. Have seen other posts claiming excessive prices and angry proprietors. Not true in either case. Prices are reasonable considering the times and a brick and mortar shop. Had a very pleasant conversation and enjoyed the visit. All should check this store out. I'll be back."

"I have loved visiting Guns of Yesteryear for years. They have a very interesting inventory in this tiny shop. Lots of great antique, and some new, firearms. They also have a bunch of other historical recreations that could be interesting to many people. It's one of the few remaining places where one can buy real black powder, not smokeless stuff. The gentlemen inside are always a pleasure with which to spend some time. Most of the prices are fair, some may be just a little high. However, there are many great things in this shop that one would be hard-pressed to find other places."
