"Such expensive prices on stuff that’s beat up. Nothing ever rings up the right price that is advertised. They have really bad false advertisement."
"I was looking for a evening grown for a banquet I have to attend May 1 and find a beautiful red grown. I will be back. Great customer service, the lady was very friendly and helpful."
"Had a horrible experience at Valley thrift today. I was looking around, as you know they have thousands of items, so naturally it was taking some time for me to feel satisfied that I had looked over enough of the merchandise to then stop and make my purchases. But as I perused the section of books I then heard the cashier/owner I’m not exactly sure who she is but she was working the counter and I heard her Connect on the phone to someone. It wasn’t until she started to describe my actions that I realized that she was talking to the police and she was telling the police that I was there for a very long time about 30 minutes and then I was pretending (in her words) that I was pretending to look through the books and that I was only “trying to make it look as though I’m not stealing”. Now mind you most of the items in the store are under four dollars and even the larger items are under $10 so it would seem a little bit ridiculous to steal from the store but nevertheless… The police ultimately arrived and they didn’t engage me immediately they took their time and after while one of the officers asked to speak with me. Unbeknownst to them I overheard the entire conversation that she had with the police dispatcher, so I was able to tell the officer that he didn’t need to explain and he didn’t need to patronize me; that I already knew the situation. And that, sadly, its a common one. I’ve experienced this for the span of my life it’s called discrimination, that that’s what it’s called. Its the idea that you can shop for too long, which justifies calling the police who are known to murder people who look like you at an alarming rate. Beware of the store the owner or cashier or this particular clerk, very prejudice and clearly discriminated against me based on my appearance. She wasn’t happy that I was looking around her store, that has maybe 20k items or more inside it from very small to large furniture, for an extended period of time. given the fact that I actually purchased the stuff that I picked up, but I shouldn’t have because why would I purchase something from an establishment that just discriminated against me and called the cops on me? I won’t be going back there obviously but it is unfortunate. People really show you their true colors in certain situations, and when people tell you or show you who they are…..believe them."
"Nice, organized thrift store with fair prices and friendly staff."
